It's back on at 12 now! If you are somehow able to watch it(such as college kids with a free period) please do so it can have good ratings to stay on the air.
Kinda sucks that they always show the same types of episodes when they do these marathons though :\ All the other ones are deemed either: too violent or too racist
@baul104 Not really. What these people are trying to do is get people prepared for the new looney tunes show, in order to get kids to know bugs and daffy. And hey, people might actually be able to watch this when they get up.
It's five o'clock in the morning where I am. Adult Swim has just ended and Looney Tunes are on. Bless you Cartoon Network!! I'm so glad I recklessly stayed up the entire night!!! :D
But I can't find the follow-up commercial anywhere. The one where the Looney Tunes are let out, and then the door slams in Daffy's face, and he screams "WHO IS RESPONSIBLE FOR THIS?!" Help me out?
Well, you can thank Sam "Cha-Ching" Register for locking the toons up in a storage closet. Rumor has it that Wile E. almost caught the Road Runner. Sylvester almost got even with Tweety!
can someone upload the other video of this when they did returned back to Cartoon Network for a few monthes the video that gots Bugs bunny saying they back
Seeing what happened to cartoon network makes me want to become a successful business man just so I can buy cartoon network and restore it to its original form. That is my life goal.
It can't possibly be getting much worse ratings than shit like Johnny Test. I wish they'd make a channel dedicated only to Looney Tunes -_-...but none of these networks even give a shit about their viewers.
A bad time slot. 11 A.M. CARTOON NETWORK!?!? SERIOUSLY!?!? WHO IS GONNA WATCH SOMETHING AT 11:00 IN THE MORNING!?!? KIDS ARE IN SCHOOL AND PARENTS ARE AT WORK!!!! How the hell do you expect to get high er raitings by putting something at 11:00 A.M.? HOW!?!?
Its like they just put the show back on CN just to pull it back in the closet.
How do you know they won't bring it back later on again?
I mean, I'm just hoping here, but how naive and shortsighted is Cartoon Network? They've deliberately kept the Looney Tunes off the air for 5 years, making new generations of children gradually forget about these fantastic characters; and at the same time being fed all day with garbage like Hanna Montana.
Then, CN brings LT back in a bad time slot (seriously, only at 11:pm?) and, apparently by judgment of the ratings during the first two months, axes it again! How do they expect the Looney Tunes to refind its full audience after years away from TV in only two short months? They have to give them time, and believe in the quality of their product. The Looney Tunes' popularity has proved itself timeless for 70 years, and it will do so again if these executives can stop being so damn near-sighted.
I am really shocked (in a good way) to see that Cartoon Network has returned from it's downfall and put Looney Tunes back on to the small screen. WE DON'T NEED ANY OF THAT CN REAL SHIT!!! The new year's marathon really made my decade! Cartoon Network will always live.
I'm so glad they're bringing them back! It looks like Cartoon Network is starting go back in the right direction. Maybe now Disney and Nickelodeon will learn from this.
Sounds more like Daffy to me. Maybe 'cause Bugs & Daffy were voiced by the same person back then. & what were the other Tunes yelling? That's what I asked.
What were the Tunes saying at the beginning when they were yelling to get out of the storage room? I could only hear Sam, 0:05 ("Op'n up that door") & Daffy, 0:09 ("GET ME OUTTA HERE!!!!!")
Good, now tell them to bring back Popeye,The Hanna-Barbera cartoons(i.e. The Flintstones),the MGM Cartoons(Droopy&The Wolf,George and Jr.Etc.)The 70's & 80's toons(Thundercats,Alvin and the Chipmunks) the UPA toons,The Jay Ward toons(Rocky & Bullwinkle, the REAL George of the Jungle(not that shity show they air now) and all the other classics, get rid of the pathetic shitty ass"CN Real"bullshit, cancel so called cartoons like"Chowder"(loudest most repetitive show I've ever seen) and we will be cool
Thank God we get to see these classic cartoons... It's been an eternity for me. Hell, maybe....maybe....Cartoon Network is starting...not...to..suck... maybe next they'll dump live action crap, and add more decent cartoons. Better not hope too much though.
I thought they would show this: Door falls on the floor, Bugs (peeks head out of door, walks out): Eh... (munches carrot) what's up, doc? Daffy: I'll tell ya what's-s-s up! We're havin' a marathon! Tweety: Wet's go telw da guys! (all run out) Bugs: They may be crazy, but they're family. (munches carrot) & ya love 'em. (Looney Tunes title card comes down, all come out through hole, give the "Ta-Da!"-type pose, commercial ends)
Locked in a closet.... tsk tsk. First the Warner Brothers (and the Warner SIster), now this.
I guess they must really like locking up their cartoons...
Honestly though, I think they are just throwing a bone for older fans. CN can air all old shows, but then make new reality shows, which doesn't really change much in terms of ratings for the channel. IMO, anyway.
I finally get to hear gems such as "I'm sowwy fewwows...I'm huntin' for the spowt of it!" (Elmer J. Fudd) and "Say! Box Full O'Fun Kit No. 7?" (Foghorn Leghorn asking the dog).
Yay! This makes me rember the old cartoon network. Hopefully more will follow. We still have Tom and Jerry, but getting looney tunes back will be huge.
@CaptainTooner well......if you cant laugh at yourself. although they never will be able to full laugh at their selves until that crappy "hole in the wall" and "dude what would happen show" are put off the air. FOR GOOD!!!!!
@InvaderPet You know they ain't real, don't you? They're also owned by Warners,so if they even were real, they'd couldn't sue, even if they'd got Rupert Murdoch on their side! Lol,Tho'!
They fucked the new version up! It's just dry and empty compared to the classics.

Reason why it was dropped is some parent groups found it too violent for a kids time slot and demanded it be bumped to the adult swim group.

@facerw If that was the case, it would've been dropped from the air back during the 90s. Don't give me that cheap excuse.
