The whole point is they are basically simple portable media players, stripping out any advanced features, allowing them to cost so little that companies can buy them in bulk and use them for active promotional content. It would surprise me if they cost more than $30 each. It's not a fantastic new technology, it's taking old technology that is so cheap to manufacture now and finding new uses for it.

It is an iPod touch wannabe. iPod's hold more memory more use can be made out of it and you can wear by buying a case that clips on to your shirt. OR buy an iPhone and you can also make calls from it.

I have an iPod and there are so many apps where you can watch live tv, whereas on this 'mini tv' you must import it. With an iPhone/iPod touch you import it or pick apps for live tv. Buy an iPhone or an iPod, it is sooo worth it.
