If you think about it though, Rowling doesn't really answer the question. How does "He's gay" say anything about whether he finds love or not? Gays can have relationships or be single. It's like if she were asked, "When are you going to write another book?" And she replies with a "Yes."

I thought it was pretty awesome that Dumbledore was gay. I mean, I hate most people's reactions (not yours, understandable), because they say JKR was wrong about HER character, or that gay people are wrong. I love gay people (though I'm straight) and Harry Potter, so this whole thing about a character that never fit the stereotype being gay was amazing. The weird part was I kinda got that feeling that fans would at least make it seem like he was gay during DH...
