@RodMunch247 Sounds a little bit like you just made God less of a awesome being, saying that you think you know how both God and Jesus feels about an other human. ^^ Isn't love the strongest message Jesus wanted to bring to the world. Mark 12:31 "Love your neighbor as yourself. There is no commandment greater than these."
The idea that she may (as in I don't) stand before judgment in front of God on the very last day and be forgiven feels more likely to me, for where is the love in damnation?

This version is great. It's a completely different take on the tune. A lot more sensitivity than the Animals version. I did an acoustic cover of this tune on my channel. It's my first upload. I would be thankful if you'd give it a listen.

I wish I could hear it more clearly -- like the change from "on the run" to "down and drunk." Wish she had done a more female version, though, like Tracy Chapman ("poor girl" etc.)

The oldest known existing recording is by Texas Alexander, recorded in 1927 for Okeh Records.
It's a an old English folk song, but the Animals brought it greater exposure...after that it was remade over and over again by so many artists.
...would take a full day research all of them. : P
