ore can some one tell me plz
bigbenz16 2 years ago
Nice one, altho what's the deal using this smartcast malarky - seein as u rightly slate bait boats - surely these are just as bad, if not worse???
kbd40 2 years ago
You have to cast a 'smartcast' for a start, which is the same as casting your bait.
You cannot place a bait with a smartcast under a bush on the otherside of the lake or in areas where you have little chance of extracting a fish.
You still have to use a catapult to get your bait out...
It takes skill to read a smartcast and then put what you have learned into fish on the bank, there is absolutly no skill required with a bait boat.
TheCarpCatcher 2 years ago
@TheCarpCatcher CORRECT!!! I hate bait boats too.
s8tank 11 months ago
I could write a book....
Smartcasts do not really 'Find' fish the give you an idea of the lake bed without destroying your sport OR others like a marker rod will do.

Get a bag of berry and fish short hairs off the eye.
The field bank is best and they get in close so fish the 10, 20 and 30 meter lines.
Look for plateaus going out into the lake from the bank.
Use strong tackle as the weed is up.
I use 20lb x-line and 20lb IQ hook links and size 6 D-Ceptors
Be lucky!
Their scoffing it down like mad!
