This, for me, is a brilliant example of what makes the *real* Pink Floyd so good.
This is a great rendition, near enough note perfect, but there's an emotion, a pain missing from the song (esp. the solo) which is what defines this song for me in the first place.
Technically it's great, but it can't hold a candle to Gilmour.

ok this might be good, but only the original is the pure. But have you listening to the swedish version named " P-floyd ". Thats really awesome. They are so neare the originale you can come. Listening to the vocalist, he´s even better than the original. Not to mention the leadguitarist Janne Stumsner. Just listen and you understand.
Great band - don't knock them til you have seen them. Fortunate enough to see the originals twice, at Knebworth in 1990 & Earls Court around 1994, & have seen THAP 3 times. Shut your eyes and you are there, though I have to say the lighting has got much better since I last saw them - love it around 8 mins. Worthy of the originals. Believe they even played for Gilmours 50th bash several years ago at his request. Can't be that bad..... and if you never had the privilege of seeing the originals....
I have to say that they clearly play well but the fact that they are just copies of other musicians living of their genius and identities is pathetic and if I was in Pink Floyd I would say for fucks sake get a life,your own life and stop trying to be something that you are not and that is in Floyd.
@yorkermiles Yes, they are just copies of the original. But if you wanted to relive the Pink Floyd experience or experience it for the first time live it's kinda hard to get Floyd back together. That's why I think they have a place in this world. David Gilmour is not touring anymore and Roger Waters has quite a different show than the original Floyd, still the same songs, but a very different vibe. If you wanted to hear it live the way it was recorded this is not at all a bad option

I think APF's light show is MUCH more impressive; also, BPF's vocals can go bit 'wonky' at times, more so than APF. U shud check out my video of BPF doin Comfortably Numb and compare with this one for urself - u'l prob see wot I mean.
Even the original (surviving) members of Pink Floyd have endorsed APF, calling them the "best tribute band".
But BPF were still worth every penny of the £17 ticket fee!

(there is one other version that also makes me shiver - but NOT in a good way like this one - more like the kinda shivers you'd get if you were thrown into a tank full of maggots, cockroaches and pig guts! .... I'm talking about the Sister Sisters horrific cover version of it - music mutilation at its worst, almost blasphemous... I can't even bear to stay in a room where its being played! (⦿♒⦿)
