  • You son of a bitch!!! >:( Looks normal to me.

  • 125,000lbs of thrust right there, backed down to 100,000lbs of thrust each at 3,000'AGL... Thats the sound of the worlds most powerful Jet Engine right there... you should hear it outside the aircraft... its pure Sex!

  • @KeiYuuki2011 Maximum thrust from the GE90-115B1 is 115,540 lbf(514kN)....

  • The sound is crisp, but check the bass on your camera. The engine sounds like you're hearing a purring cat outside in heavy rain through a can: It isn't reminiscent of power to me...

  • i always feel funy onbard this aircraft at cruise. i did a test and closed my eyes and i felt dizzy in the same way you do when you have had too many drinks. it could of been due to the aircraft motion. i'm convinced this feeling is caused by less oxygen to the brain

  • I love b777"s engine

  • Holy shittttt! This is amazing!

  • love flying

  • for me the flight is one of the best and most enjoyable parts of the holiday.

  • I'm getting tons of replies to my year old comment about "It really sucks." I understand what the title actually means now :) Initially I thought the reference was the weather sucks, but I can see the other meaning behind the power of the GE90!

  • i love how steady camera is, good job!

  • bad there arent any passenger wipers just see the massive engines!!

  • Ge90.....lvvvvv it!! "D

  • i miss the beautiful vancouver

  • @nobusan84 No, I wouldn't. And anyways, if I was about to be sucked into one of these beasts, going deaf would be my last concern.

  • @nobusan84 Trents. When you've absolutely gotta stall because you've lost thrust while landing due to ice clogging the fuel oil heat exchange, get Trents. Funny how the British passengers of that flight decided to sue Boeing and not the makers of the flawed engine design and airline that were actually at fault eh?

  • Just Beautiful...

  • If I had it my way, I'd force GE only engines on all US owned aircraft.

  • Video title = that's what she said.

  • is it just me or was that not a full power take off?

  • That's one sexy beast!!!!

  • 5:34 looks really nice and blue!

  • GE90-115B = 8th wonder of the modern world? i think soo these things sound like the orgasm of the aviation world!!

  • hey airliner0lover, what seat were you in for this flight...

  • Nice video. Do you remember what seat number you were in?

  • 777's have massive engines!

  • dam she sound beaautiful wht wrong with this she is great man... ;)

  • I wish they'd re-engineer the tri-jet. With 3 GE 90's and the right wing design, you could easily get an A380 sized fuselage airborn, and sustain take off with one engine failure. Engineers seem to be stuck on twins and quads though after all the hate for the MD11. I wish the aviation enthusiasts would outshine the "bottom line" enthusiasts. Not in this society full of consumers right?

  • take into account fuel consumption

  • @ImmortalSynn I can still dream I guess.

I actually have a design in my head that has the intake for #2 like an upside down "U" that is flush with the curvature of the fuselage, and wrapping half way down the body to allow enough extra opening to compensate for any air deficiencies like those that were present in the L-1011. Difficult to explain without drawing it, but it looks bitchin' on paper.

  • @BayAreaLen

I'm sure it does, but unfortunately for you/it, "looks" don't amount to a drop of dog-doo in this industry. It's all about 1) performance and 2) opportunity cost.

Tri-jets can in theory compete on #1, but they always get trounced on #2.

Quite frankly, if the most brilliant engineering minds of the last 25 years; in Europe, Asia, and the Americas; haven't been able to come up with a widebody trijet design that can stand against twins... why would you think that this one could?

  • @ImmortalSynn It could because I've come up with a way to make maintenance feasible and economical, the way I'd design and mount the air duct and the engine. I can't disagree with your points though. You're right, although that's why in my original comment I said, "I wish the aviation enthusiasts would outshine the "bottom line" enthusiasts."

  • OMG I WOULD LOVE TO FLY ON ONE OF THESE!!!! ive only flew on an air canada a321 when i was in canada(wish i lived there) and it was alright but the engines on this are amazing!

  • this plane it could even take off with one engine only

  • Why did you say "it really sucks"..

I think it is really cool you get to fly the 77W.. with those massive GE90s :)

  • Maybe his talking about the suction of the engine in the take off, I Interpret it this way..

  • @AuliaHarun maybe its a pun, it really sucks, describing the amount the air this engine has to suck in to produce so much thrust.

  • Oh yeah, you're right.. haha I can't believe I didn't notice that!

  • @AuliaHarun hahaha, someone finally used the actual definition of the word but yet it was misunderstood =] My vacuum cleaner really sucks, too, but not this much.

  • @AuliaHarun because of the moisture that is ingested in the engines on initiating take-off power. it's sucking it all in. get it?

  • Ya I get it now... :) Thanks!

  • @AuliaHarun may be he mean it literally...the engine really sucks...XD!!!

  • @AuliaHarun Cause it sucks in 2.2 million cubic feet of air per minute at takeoff thrust. That's A LOT of sucking!!

  • @AuliaHarun He meant that the engine REALY SUCKS! Like it takes in a LOT of air

  • @AuliaHarun I think he means sucks as in a vacuum cleaner sucks. And the term sucks in that means that the vacuum cleaner sucks its items up. SO A JET ENGINE SUCKS!

  • @AuliaHarun

I mean he find the engine really sucks the water or air

  • What an AMAZING quality video... gotta show this one to a lot of peeps!

  • never let the weather bother you. all weather is beautiful.

  • nice seat

  • I Love A Good General Electric GE90-115B!

  • geez...now, thats what i call a giant hair dryer

  • "For looks, performance, and sound, the GE90'll get ya off the ground."

  • Dried those windows up in a hurry.

  • cool video. I love taking off in bad weather. isn't it weird?

  • I Simply Love The General Electric GE90-115B. RAW POWER!

  • this video bring back very good memories

  • FANTASTIC VIDEO. I love a good GE90.

  • congrats.. u proved ur idiocy here

    this aircraft IS air canada

  • ur dumber than i thought o.O

  • Fuck the Rain, Super Video mate!!

    5*

  • i love the 777-300 it just seems to glide

  • Really looks nice with the bright blue painted on it. Also, the engine was so bit it took up haly the video screen on full screen. Love those engines.

  • Whoa !!!!!

    Listen to that !

    Amazing.

  • when i die, i want to be sucked in by a GE90-115B!

  • it's noisy in here you know ??

  • get sucked in and die or die first and then get sucked in....

  • Comment removed

  • hopefully its AFTER you die...

  • comment of the century

  • @sabadashi, Cremation by GE90-115B!!!

  • @sabadashi

hopefully it will be a long long time from now before that happens, and by then there will be more exciting options than the GE90 !!

  • @sabadashi As odd as that sounds.. so would I! Quick and hopefully painless, at least you'd hear an angelic noise!

  • @sabadashi one wild will

  • The A380 engine sound is REALLY REALLY sickass!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Damn Airbus 380..it looks like a Big ass little tikes Toy Plane..I wana fly on it tho..

  • sound is very crisp throughout. gotta love those GE-90's. very nice.

  • AC1 is YYZ-NRT

  • woah must have been a heavy plane. Long acceleration before rotation

  • It's a 777... Those are massive planes, but if you're talking about the takeoff weight, they're light. Extremely fast ascent.

  • im gonna be on an air india 777-300ER in a month. What row did u sit on. I want that view =D i love the GE90-115B sound!! it rocks!! please let me know

  • Not necessarily... it could've just had a long "FLEX" run

  • Put in a 50C thrust derate and voila... long T/O run.

  • WHAT A BEAST

  • Great sound
