  • Makoto only stuns Li because of the fact he had the jump fierce punch into fierce standing into combo. If it was karakusa it wouldn't have worked.

  • This is misleading...Makoto must have built up some dmg with her taunt first.

  • Makoto was so much better in 3rd strike shes at to much of a disadvantage in ssf4

  • You don't have to jump to parry the last high kick.

    He was obviously just trying to copy Daigo

  • @idcdammit he jumps for the j.hp, if you watch again, he doesnt actually parry the last hit since chun and makotos hitboxes are garbage.

  • why the full parry on SA at the beginning?

    I mean, even my nephew can do that, is it only for a silly show off?

  • Makoto still loses to yun, Ken, and even chun, so no, she's not broken. She just has good mixup in a game heavily reliant on mixup.

  • the only reason she looses to yun is the gay super he has the tournament matches between chun and ken are like 5/5 i'm almost sure not to mention the 100% stun combo on them. but if she can land a grab with him like 1/4 stunned she can stun him with her silly super. her mix up game is too much due to the command grab which is something no one else has that links into the supers. so that little extra mixup game "in a game heavily reliant on mixup" makes her uber broken in my opinion.

  • Having good mixup in a game reliant on mixup just makes her fit in. If the opponent guesses right, they can put makoto in guessing games just as devestating, and sometimes safer if mako guesses right.

    Take her exact move set, and put her in SF4 or SF2, and she becomes broken, because she wins off random pokes and no one else can come close to matching her mixup.

  • dude she has way to much lag in deffensiv to be broken

  • she can stun him even when he has no stun builded up with the double fukiage ender it stuns all shoto's twins urien necro twelve she has a different variation on Q and elena and can do mix up's to stun alex hugo dudley and oro i think not to mention the fukiage sjc fierce stuns remy and gouki(akuma) sooo she can pretty much stun anyone in one combo + 1 mix up at the very least.

  • she's 5/5 vs ken 5/5 vs yun and 4/6 vs chun

  • she may have super good offense, but her defense is lacking. make makoto back up or get anxious and it's game over.

  • yeah, if she does the qf+P shes defenseless and you can do super right after that

  • Chun has a medium stun bar, but she takes the most stun damage. Remy has the smallest stun gauge, but can take the least stun damage. Akuma is in between these two, but he has a fast stun recovery.

    More useless info can be found on my FAQ which I will post in the near future on GameFAQs.

  • akuma and remy have equal sized stun bars no one takes more or less stun dmg they just have differen't sized bars

    large > alex hugo oro dudley

    medium> ryu ken sean elena Q chun makoto twelve urien necro ibuki yun yang

    small > remy akuma

  • how can people pull off two of those straight up punches? Is the motion reversed? Either way, that's one helluva stun combo.

  • you pull 2 of those up punches by Kara the Hard kick

    for example

    Left side makoto

    qcf qcf kick dash forward uppercut opposing side

    so if dashing right uppercut left

    then dash back left uppercut right but you have to Kara cancel the Hardkick before you hit the light punch for the second uppercut

    Really hard The neutral hardkick moves makoto back a bit to hit the second uppercut so push hardkick then wait around 0.3 - 0.5 seconds before hitting the punch

  • Oh my cant u see theres no stun on the stun bar the whole combo sent the opponent to stun.Its possible it really is. go practice. then you'll see.

  • This is a full stun combo. chun doesnt have to be near being stunned, she can have no stun bar and still be stunned. Look closer, she has no stun bar here.

  • look closer at the beginning of the video. Chun-Li's stun bar is at 0%.

  • You have to super-jump cancel the fukiage (uppercut):

    Just as the attack hits the opponent you have to press down and then up + punch/kick.

  • What do you mean? Are you talking about the heavy kick in the air to the HP slap into SAII Abare T?

  • No, I mean that jump cancel off a Fukiage (Uppercut) into her straight-up jumping High Punch at 00:18.

    Makoto's attacks, in order to be devastating, need to be either Dash cancelled (00:17) or jump cancelled (00:18, 00:23). If she hadn't got this ability, then she would probably suck.

    The combos she can do off these cancels are the reason why she's Makoto.
