Who is it that makes the output transistors on this radio? i know the circuit board is uniden but i hear the outpit tranny is about £70 a pop so they must be good at that price?
@simonthewizard thanks for the reply simon, i thought all mitsubishi output trannys were supposed to be the rolls royce of output transistors how wrong can you be? and to think they slag off modern day radios that use mosfets, i've got a red display 3900 that uses IRF520'S and so far have been trouble free.
Your Jackson 2 seems to do the same as mine Simon, on recieve the needle tends to stick between S4 and S5. I adjust the RF gain control to about 3 o' clock the needle tends to move back to S1 but does not alter the signals coming in, wierd radio but very easy to use now. Keep the videos up mate.
