2nd best show i ever saw at the 40 watt. bob was hanging on me and kept putting a beer to my mouth it was a killer party after the show. oh yeah best show i saw there was gang of four.
my teacher Mr. Walker showed me this band and lent me the album back in highschool. i dropped out, and never gave Mr. Walker his album back, but man, did I appreciate the music.
Yeah....I was at a GBV show in 2001 (Isolation Drills tour) where I kind of 'went nuts' and started my own solo mosh pit and got told to "calm down" by the bassist. One of the greatest concerts I ever attended. Anyhoo, they played this song. I'd never heard it before and thought it was fucking incredible. It is.
I never cease to be amazed at the sheer amount of, not just music that Bob Pollard writes, but of fuckin awesome tunes. whether as GBV or under his solo career, the guy just doesn't stop producing tunes of gold. a prolific genius.
Electric newspaper boy?! WTF!!!! LOL!!!!

How is it possible that this song has less than 5,000 views and crap like Lady Gaga gets 30 million +?

Found a copy of the The Grand Hour ep for five bucks today. Worth it for Shocker in Gloomtown alone.

sounds like it could have been on Reckoning, almost, except Robert Pollard is a songwriting genius and a poet and Michael Stipe is a hack.

there are people in this world that can plug in and play this riff over and over whenever they want, and then there are losers

@ivansnightmare This is one of the songs from this album that Bob only wrote the words for and sang. Music was written by Gillard.
