  • Very good .. I like this ..

  • Very good .. I like this .. Muito Bom !!!

  • Danny Elfman .. you are the boss !

  • Why the FUCK was only three during this concert? Shit, I would've gone anyway. Little toddler running around screaming, "Those damn kids drive me crazy every day." xD

  • Definitely my favorite version of this song. The intro rocks!

  • Eu vi Jesus.....Jesus me dá luz!

  • 40 year olds crowd surfing to boingo....kinda disturbing, but Danny is the shit.

  • I was so born in the wrong decade.

  • @iAXE692 This was in 1995 at their Farewell concert... it was an amazing experience...

  • Just another day when people wake from dreams, with voices in their ears, that will not go awayyyyyyyy.. Danny is genius. I LOVE BOINGO

  • 4:46 cracks me up.

  • Wow oingo bongo its pretty cool

  • 20 people are jealous they weren't in that crowd rocking out to Oingo Boingo.

  • 4:14 Jesus headbanging

  • John Avila is the best bass player Ive ever heard. Flawless live.

  • 20 people do not trust their ears, and don't believe their eyes.

  • Americans thrive on the outlandish, weird and totally ridiculous--and that's O.K. ;])

  • I'll see it before I die: A major avenue or boulevard named after them. ;])

  • Puta que o pariu... Massa!!!!

  • Punk rock fathers. Is Grunge in there? Yes, thats in there too....(see the movie, "Factotum" with Matt Dillion)

  • It's just another day.....or is it? This could be the one that changes everything. ;])

  • i love the 80's music

  • The '80s: A music-loving wife, all kinds of money, so many fantastic bands and just not enough TIME to see them all in person. ;])

  • Saw them twice. Both were absolutely great shows.

  • Jesus and Satan are banging together at 4:15

  • @vipseixas : Profound. ;])

  • A day seeing their concert live wouldn't be just another day

  • CONCERT!!!

  • Unfortunately, Danny's profound hearing loss will probably keep him offstage forever. Quite the bummer, as I never got to hear Boingo live...

  • Not seeing Oingo Boingo live in the '80s is kind of like having had a winning lottery ticket, and not knowing it 'til after the time limit for cashing it in had passed....it DOES hurt. Are there any d.v.d.s of their concerts? I just wondered, because a wall-sized H.D. t.v. and Sennheiser RH180's is as close as I will ever get.

  • Magic. Real, live honest-to-goodness magic. ;])

  • God bless the inventors of the Internet and wireless headphones. ;])

  • Funny how angels don't always look like we're told they look--these are angels. ;])

  • purely awesome

  • I see Jesus came out to watch his father, Danny Elfman, play because he is GOD!

  • Jesus really likes OB, Bute hes a lil hi aint ya?

  • @rodup88 : It is in the Bible that Jesus liked to party now and then, and he chewed the people out who got in his face about it. ;])

  • it was not just another day for rock n' roll

  • And to think it all started on "The Gong Show". Epic. ;])

  • I SWEAR at 4:16, Jesus is rockin out.

  • @chad450f : Jesus WAS a party animal--he MADE wine for a wedding(without all those clumsy, technical processes), and by all documented accounts, it was GOOD stuff. ;])

  • I'm sorry, you'll have to speak up, I can't hear you....been watching this video at high volume all night and half the day. ;])

  • These videos make me sad. I was just in high school when the farewell concert took place. A fan starting in junior high, I never got the opportunity to see them live. I have been looking for a picture of a young Elfman for a tattoo, but none of them are high res enough. Someone please point me in the right direction...

  • @ButterMcMasters : I don't think I would have survived seeing them live. I lost 5 pounds in one night at a Billy Idol concert, and couldn't talk for 3 days afterwards, and these guys are a like a nuclear reactor gone critical mass. ;])

  • Genius

  • Why can't Danny just use in ear monitors if he is worried about ear loss?

  • It would like a good idea a 2011 Boingo's reunion...

  • 1:49 camera man busts a move !

  • And what about Jesus? He ejnoys tha ong.

  • @rodup88 : I believe you speak the truth. ;])

  • i have literally spent weeks just trying to find this song its so AWESOME

  • Love how they rope everybody into thinking they are lowering the key before kicking it hard.

  • @Icepacalapse : They're completely nuts--I LOVE 'em. ;])

  • lembro de minha adolescencia!!!!

  • Danny is the man...

  • @gatlan123 it was due to fear of hearing loss.

  • @4:49 someone throws a black bra onstage! It even seems to give Danny a little giggle fit in the next shot! ^_^

  • One of the best musical talents ever is Danny Elfman.

  • classic and best tune of his....doesnt he look like the singer of The Red Rockers mixed with John Boy from the Waltons ;).... nevertheless;..... live on OB!!!

  • @ashleychesler yes or no folks????????

  • God Bless OIngo Boingo

  • just awesome

  • the Pink Floyd of the 80's

  • I'm speechless. Farewell tour? Oh, the humanity.

  • Back when music was real music you could really jam out to. I miss those days. Now its all on CD at the very least.

  • @maz323se Don't you mean now it all sucks? LOL! :) (Current music).

  • sooo glad i got to see them every Halloween and 2 nights of the Farewell show!

  • Freaking BARTEK Rocks!!!!!!

  • Its the Bio Hazrd guitar player????!!!!!

  • tudo á ver!!!

  • Starting with a club show at Madame Wong's, I saw Boingo maybe 50 times. Every chance I had basically. Best live performance band ever, by far. My humble opinion and all that.

  • I'm watching this while eating freshly baked cookies. It's a pretty satisfying experience.

  • Magic.................

  • dLa .......P:M!

  • Danny needs to do a 2011 Boingo Halloween Reunion.

  • @FavreianVengeance Won't happen. Elfman suffered permanent hearing damage from his boingo days and has said he won't ever return to boingo due to the loudness involved with rock music. I'm just glad we have sweet videos like this to keep his energy alive.

  • @brianderx

Yea I know about the hearing damage (it really happens to every rocker though). I think that Elfman won't do tours again. But I don't think he's so deaf that he wouldn't at least consider doing a Halloween show maybe every other year.

If anything, I think Elfman is staying completely away because he doesn't want to feel like he's playing the sad aging rock star stereotype. If he was 30, he wouldn't miss a Halloween show.

  • @FavreianVengeance i agree,,, but are all the members even still alive? id think they are, but something tells me one of them died

  • @06yarbrougha

I haven't heard anything about any core members dying. Perhaps someone that played with them a year or two but wasn't a core member died. But I haven't heard anything. And as good as Avila is on bass and Vatos is on drums; they are replaceable from a musical standpoint. Really the only potential hit (besides Elfman obviously) would be for lead guitarist, Steve Bartek to go down. He's fine as far as I know.

  • @FavreianVengeance FUCK YES

  • I know i speak for everyone when i say that Danny is one of the greatest people to ever put their voice to the mic.

  • As a kid who grew up in the 90s and a huge fan of alternative rock music, Oingo Boingo ranks number 1 in "80s groups who I never saw live which I want to see live"

  • @ColorsBright

I feel bad for you - I've seen them play live 3 times growing up in southern california:

    #1 - US Festival

#2 - Concert at Del Mar Race Track - Drank a full bottle of JD, and lastly, before moving to Australia:

#3 - Front row - Directly in front of the Microphone - UCSD (San Diego) concert

I've still got the white long sleeved sweat shirt, with the red/orange 'Dead Mans Party' pic on the front

    :-)

  • Plan to play this at top volume next Monday (14 February) like I do every year, especially the segment starting "Had a dream last night, the world was set on fire . . . AND EVERYONE WAS DEAD."

    My, I'm cheerful!

  • Oh god they're wearing baggy t-shirts and shorts.

That gives out such a "I'm doing this gig for the money and I don't give a fuck" vibe

  • @jymkata I know exactly what you mean...

I was really expecting like... A suit and tie, with at least a briefcase or something for added ambiance. I'm really upset about their whole "trying to be comfortable on stage" thing. Pfft. It just sounds so much better on album where I know they wore their sunday best to the studio.

  • @jymkata

It was their last gig; why not do it for the money?

  • @jymkata Or a, "We don't realy care much about the new style, and kinda just enjoy being casual on stage" kinda vibe.

  • @jymkata i disagree, i see what youre saying but the way they moved and jumped around the stage, i think that makes up for their clothing

  • @MrCanibalrabbit34 : Someone actually made a crack about their CLOTHES?! If they were in tuxedoes, the effect would be the same. ;])

  • @buzzclick500 actually the clothing you wear on stage makes quite an impact, however its a subliminal one... example, what would it look like if a grunge band came out wearing tuxes? it would completely clash with their style. the half-effort look that Boingo has in their outfits is perfect for their style, especially if you know most of their songs... whoever ripped on their clothing is probably the same person that goes to a job interview in a wife beater and ripped-up jeans

  • @06yarbrougha : Yes, true. I actually like the Beatles' music better that they made in their "suit & tie" days--the change in their appearance was structured by their manager to fit "what's going on NOW". Same with the Stones, except that THEIR music and appearance flowed and synchronized with their personalities and massive cultural changes. In an allegorical way, the Beatles "committed suicide". The Stones adapted and survived.

  • @06yarbrougha : Oingo Boingo is just so close to perfect in so many categories, and at so many levels--"weirdos making music for weirdos"? I don't know....it's hypnotic and gripping...personal and intense.

  • @buzzclick500 exactly

  • I can't stop listening to this song...

  • they are cute

  • Everyone loves Oingo Boingo, even the devil ( 4:15 ish) and Jesus ( 4:45 ish)

  • The best part is 0:00 to 5:58.

  • its easy to me to see dany young in the 80s videos, but now that hes aged, its kinda weird to see the new dany, the guy that now creates scores for major motion pictures had a band in the 80s....this guy has the best of both worlds.

  • LULZ everybody noticed Jesus but did they notice Satan at 4:15 (far left)?

  • Even Jesus is jammin' to Boingo. That just proves how bad ass they are.

  • Só pra lembrar das festinhas no play... Festinha americana, hi-fi!!! Bons tempos!!!

  • @RenataTorresss

e lá se vão 20 anos...

  • I was at this show, it was fucking awesome. I wish they would tour again.

  • C'mon Danny...ever considered a reunion? Get back to your roots boy...we miss you!

  • Greatest band of all time.

  • ta looco rua 15 casa do cesar doido impossivel ter uma festa sem essa muisa...

    bons tempos ...

  • goin out on top

  • I wish to hell that I had seen this show. The sound off this vid alone is incredible. If there was an "11" on my stereo, you can bet it'd be pounding right now.

  • @kilts4u2

I saw this show, it was fuckin' amazing. Wish you could have been there too. What I wouldn't give for another show.

  • nice to see danny dressed up for their last show....

  • I keep thinking this must have been JUST THE MOST FUN BAND TO BE IN! Music you were proud of making! Saw them in '83 with the Police. Elfman was mezmerizing. I amaze myself that I never figured out he was pretty hot until just recently. My loss! What a voice!

Wait...17 dislikes? Are you kidding me?

  • Wow, I still can't believe that people would mosh to this. I LOVE boingo, the only thing I've listened to for the past month, but it just seems weird that people would mosh to this stuff. It doesn't look like violent moshes though, which is good. Boingo's music is so awesome and meaningful, it just seems weird to me I guess, idk..... And holy crap I just saw Jesus twice I now know the meaning of life...O_o

When is the next on brazil????!?!?!

  • Hey, dont look now... if discreetly look at 4:15, you'll find Jesus.

Saw them six times. Halloweens were the best. I love the upbeat tempo combined with dark lyrics. Their stage presence is just as energetic as the music... I miss those shows

"I will not fall in love, I cannot risk the bet - these hearts are fragile toys, so easy to forget"

  • Its that kind of show that ppl get stunned and can only sing.

  • cara este som so mim lembra minha juventude so surf. tudo de bom. paulo vitor ssa.

  • Slimple the best.

  • all i have to say danny elfman it the music GOD

  • seen them 6 times and have only been to about 12 concerts

  • I was at their third-to-the-last show where Elfman pulled out an electric ukulele. I was disappointed when I bought the last concert and he didn't pull it out for the final show.

  • @unqtious Would you happen to know what song they were playing? Was it this one or something else?

  • @burtonfan01 I was wrong. Elfman pulled out his ukulele for Water in the final show. Although, the third-to-the-last show I attended, he played it, singing Tender Lumplings and another Boingo song (I won't venture which one, as you see, my memory isn't that great).

  • More of this, and less of Bieber please!

  • I, too, was at this show. Gives me chills. But, how do ya think the band felt, knowing this was the last time they'd play this song ?!?

  • @TheDanDiegoShow It was probably bittersweet for them.

  • 16 people tripped over their mom's vagina lips when they clicked

  • Their live performances were impeccable !!! I am praying for a reunion tour. C'mon GUYS!!!!! Just 1 more tour!!! Even Jesus loves Oingo Boingo ! ! lol (see 4:17)

  • oingo boingo go to the brasil , 1 time .,,,,,,,,, musica do surf

  • LOVE LOVE LOVE THIS SONG!!! WOO HOO WHAT A GREAT LIVE PERFORMANCE!

  • Amazing! I really thank my dad for introducing me to this awesome music.

I really wish I these guys would do another album,I understand that elfman won't tour because of his hearing but who says he has to? there's plenty of artists that put out albums and don't tour.

  • My brother and sister got to see Oingo Boingo in concert. I think I was four years old at the time. Now they're my favorite band, and nothing I've ever heard can even compare to them.

I kind of hate my siblings for getting to see them live. >:(

  • Jesus likes Elfman?? 4:47 LOL!!!

  • 16 people were shocked by the epicness of this song

  • @bittencourt93
