It is the twilight zone. all you do is bend the wick away from the flint wheel and the flame "disappears" when it's really just underneath the wick. All you have to do to "relight" it is make any wind disturbance and it'll pop the flame right back up like normal.

heres how to do it take the wick and move it to the side and any kindd of movement u do the flame comes back it is really easy all it takes is stady hands and i guess good ideas like 1 idea is to snap and move ur hand at the same time r ppl prtend to blow it back like wind, (wind makes it light back too)

It's done by using some air to push the wick to the side of the chamber which hides the flame. Then as he *clicks* or *claps* etc, he shakes it soo the wick stands up again and the flame is visible.

No air is used to push the wick, you bend it by using your fingers or any other object that can fit in the chamber. Then you light it and pass your finger or hand on top of it to take oxygen away, the flame will then be caught underneath the bent wick. The wick doesn't stand up again, it is bent, so movement won't straighten it out so easily, the movement will simply make the fire move from underneath the bent wick back onto the top of it.

In trying to do this, I accidentally did something much, much cooler... somehow the spark missed lighting the wick, and instead lit some residue in the lid, which burned for a moment before extinguishing and lighting the wick up.

*SPOILER, SPOILER*right, if you look at the top pof your open zippo, youll see the wick, use ur little finger and bend the wick slightly towards the back of the zippo. now when ou extinguish the flame gently, important to do it gently. the flame will still be burning under the wick, relly small. now to ignite it just waft it gently with your hand or you could add efect by 'spitting it' back.notice how careful he is switching hands, cos if you shake the zippo itl reignite. hope this was helpfull

the snapping thing is called the twilight zone and how you doit is you take the wick and make it at a forty degree angle and you just slide your hand over the zip and it should go out and any wind around it and it should lite up

4 things you can do

1. fluid. if you know how to refill, sweet. if you dont, get some lighter fluid. pull the chimney so the interior comes out of its case and pour the shit into the bottom.

2.wick is black. get some pliers and pull it up till theres enough clean wick, it should be as long as the chimney. cut off the black bit.

3. the flints worn down. buy new flints, unscrew the screw at the bottom and remove it and the spring then remove the old flint and replace it.

4. buy a new zippo
