  • BTW, I found a soviet union pin at a garage sale a few weeks ago. The guy said he had no idea what it was for... Wonder if you could help identify it as I have it up on ebay but since I can't identify it, I dont think it will sell.

I'll send you my ebay link to your youtube messages...Thanks!

  • @commando602 not worth much

they're very easy to come by

  • WOW!.. What a find, Congratz!... Was there any names associated with these pins that you could track down a family member?. I would think somehow getting these back to the owner would be more gratifying...

  • @commando602 The auction this came from was an estate sale. This is where a person dies and the family sells off everything. It is hard to believe a family would throw away history like this. The bronze star is named on the back.

  • Nice, big red one patch. Its kindof a shame that they would sell these, i would be quite pissed if i were the veteran.. its something to cherish and remember, not forget and throw away for such a miniscule price

  • @terminal99 Yeah.. to me, that is memory in a box, especially if it were my grandfather's. Personally i think selling stuff like that if you knew the person is a lame disrespect of your ancestor's
