  • I like so much that song of Chum Kem that I looked for desperately since I left Cambodia in 1970. You make now my happiness by sharing that oldies song with us. For me, Chum Kem was a king of khmer rock'n roll due to the originality of his composed songs, their musicality and rythms. Thank u my dear jefmagic32 for sharing with us such a precious khmer cultural heritage. Any lyrics are welcome! Freddy

  • @jeffmagic32-- thank you for sharing this rare music to all of us. I wish he was still alive; to bad.

He's Cambodian. He was studying ceramics in Italy when he won a singing contest, after which he recorded this record. Later he moved back to Cambodia and released "Kampuchea Twist", the song that introduced the twist dance to Cambodia.

  • AWESOME!!!!

  • Beautiful song, Jeff. I wouldn't have known this Italian and French song was sung by a Khmer person. I don't speak French or Italian enough to know or detect his Khmer accent, but it sounded very good (like a native singer). What is this song about? :) I hope you got yourself a good bargan shopping online for this song! :)

  • Great find. Thanks for sharing it.

  • Great song, records, He say some words in French too.

  • @mavedro

Thanks for your video, which made me aware of this great record. I was lucky to find a copy for sale online from a French shop.
