I was getting in to skateboarding just when the new style boards were evolving. I stuck with my old school G +S board with tartan wheels and used to get laughed at down my ramp. Found it a much more stable deck. Love how it comes full circle.good work dudez

Fuck man, that was without a doubt the best Modern "old school" skating vid I've seen. I've recently just started skating on a 80's style fish deck, pretty sweet for bowls and pools but not too used to the weight of the board so i can't ollie or anything yet. Anyways inspiring shit right there man, keep it up.

@TizzyFB Good to hear man, the alva reissue board is better for the streets, but you can still definitely shred it at the parks… try and get an old school park board for this sort of skating, a board around 10" wide by 30" long with a bit of concave… The santa cruz and powell boards are sick. yew

really enjoyed this. This is where i want to go with skating. I'm looking at some 70's boards. how does 8.8" X 27.5" for this sort of skating or lighter?

@toastbuddy1 Hey man, thanks for the comment! The board dimensions sound real good for a street cruiser/hill bomber board but if you want it for skating around the parks i would look at going 9.5" wide by 30" tall. Get a board with a real nice smooth concave, i highly recommend the santa cruz line, they make some of the best boards hands down. Good luck man

@joeysharks Hey mate, good to hear your into the old school boards. The one i rode in the footage was the santa cruz Jason Jesse - its a limited edition run of boards, but well worth shredding up. If you get any old school board shape around 10" wide and 30" long you should be sweet. Thanks for the comment man.
