My twins were born at 27 weeks also. We had the benefit of 3 weeks of steroids to help mature their lungs before birth, I was on T-Bird bed rest for 3 weeks. Lyra weighed 1lb 13 3/4 oz, and Rigel weighed 2lbs 2 1/2 oz. Lyra did much better then her brother. Rigel dropped down to 1lb 10oz before he started growing and thriving. Just wanted you to know your video journey is wonderful. Gave me flash backs! As my twins are a very big 12 years old now! Congratulations on your beautiful son!
You will be in my prayers...the NICU can be a very long road; however, in no time it will be a distant memory. Last night infact (on St. Patrick's Day) we were celebrating Nate's come home day exactly 3 years ago. You would NEVER even know he was under 2 pounds at birth. All I can say is do all the Kangarooing and hands on containment during cares you can. It helps everyone so much. Good luck and best wishes.

i had a baby born at 27 weeks, its scary how small they r wen theyre born. he is home from hospital next week. at 3 months old, hes only 6lb. its hard work n no one understands the stress of ur new born bein in hospital for 3 months. he was 2lb 0.5oz wen he was born.
Our babies were born and due around the same time I think. So glad everything turned out well for your little boy. It's funny, your son looks similar to my daughter. They could be cousins.lol
aww ur baby is so precious my son was born at 35 weeks and 5 days he was 7lbs 5 oz he had premature apnea and stayed in the hospital for 1 week and i was going crazy that whole week. so i can only wonder how u guys were feeling when ur son was born at 1 lb 10 oz and how long u guys had to wait to bring ur little one home but i am glad to see he is doing ok.
Your family and precious son are truly blessed and an amazing example of God's miracle. Your first video brought me to tears, witnessing such a miracle. I remember you and your family from church many years ago and feel so very happy to see how God has and will continue to bless you and your family. Nathan is beautiful and you'll be in my prayers.
