Dunkirk was indeed an evacuation and a defeat for the British army, but amongst that evacuation the East Lancs regiment were holding the line against the Germans until they ran out of ammunition. If you don't believe me on this I suggest you educate yourself go down to your local library take from the bookshelves "Last Man Standing" Dunkirk, and read for yourself instead of ridiculing me.
