He's pretty picky about being handled too much. Sometimes he will let you hold him for a little while and pet him, but other times he'll nibble on your hand to let you know he's in no mood to be touched. There are days though where he'll rush out of his hutch when you get near because he wants a scratch.

I don't know if all rabbits are so temperamental, but Buzz definitely is.

lol oh how I love my hotots. They act like this a lot. I was going to ask if you raised hotots, because I saw how nice his type was and he has an ear identification tattoo, but then I read ^^^ that. Well, I raise Dwarf Hotots and Holland Lops. :D

Hiya! I was wondering where you got this little guy from. In the summer, I would LOVEEE to get a dwarf hotot when I'm out of residence in university. Was there a specific breeder you went to? Or did you adopt from a shelter?

We managed to find a breeder who raises show rabbits here in North Carolina. Little Buzz is a reject- his markings are "incomplete".

I don't know where you live, but I would try searching around on the internet for local breeders.

about how much does it cost for all the supplies and which type of rabbit, female or male is it easier to handle for this breed or does it even matter?

Food is fairly cheap. 25 pounds will be from about 8 to 15 dollars. Cages can vary, anywhere from 30 to 100 dollars depending on what you're looking for. A hutch type cage is usually more expensive. a small pet fence at most pet stores is fairly cheap.

Male or female doesn't really make much of a difference if they are alone. With males though, they can "spray" urine if they are put with other rabbits. They're very territorial, and will sometimes fight as well. Keep them alone.
