  • If you watch Usain Bolt's 200m Daegu in slow motion you will see that he finished his 200m at a time of 19.1 but the clock kept running and it showed 19.40

  • where did you get these splits? because these are way off. Bolt's splits in his 19.19 were 9.92 and 9.27, in his 19.4 they were 9.97 and 9.43. There's no official splits for Jamaica's 37.04 but it's said to be around 8.7 for Bolt's anchor and there's no official splits for Blake's 19.26 but there's no way his flying 100m was 8.6

  • @phastman1994 i take time from the screen.still picture, when there are crossing the curve 100m line.the line is exact, but the time you have 1/10 relevanz. for blake you can look in slow motion, you see the time, iwouldent belive ,but is between 8,5 and 8,6 ! you can see it.

  • @lionkingfilm its impossible to determine that with the human eye and without official splits, I'm sure Blake ran the fastest flying 100m in an open 200m ever but there's no way it was 8.5/8.6

  • @phastman1994 i take time from still picture

  • @lionkingfilm yea I believe you, but a still picture isn't official

  • @phastman1994 but its still picture, maybe sombody find something official. i m realy interresstet.

  • @lionkingfilm ya I'm interested in the official splits for the 37.04 and 19.26 too

  • @phastman1994 you can't determine the times from the screen, and screen times are usually quicker, although I don't think 8.6 is too out of the question, that second 100 meter for blake was phenominal, also let's remember the fastest 60 meter ever is bolt's first 60 meters in berlin during the 9.58 100 world record, the first 60 meters of which he ran in 6.31 seconds with a tail wind of .9 m/s, compare that with maurice greene's 6.39 indoors with no wind

  • @chatarapha Blake's flying 100m was definitely phenomenal, I'm sure it was faster than MJ's 9.2s split in his 19.32 but I still can't see an 8.6, I say 9.0 at the lowest. Greene's 6.39 vs Bolts 6.31 is a good comparison but considering the time of the year it was run (March/Feb vs August) and the conditions (zero wind vs +0.9m/s) I think its fair to say Mo. Greene's 6.39 is more impressive, not to take away from Bolt tho

  • @chatarapha Bolt's 6.32 with a .165s reaction time and 0.0m/s in Beijing is more comparable IMO.

  • its too bad Bolt is a good curve runner, at least for the sake of comparison, because that means he probably won't compete with 8.6 on the second 100 of the 200, although he would still get as good of a time or better than Blake, I know he got 8.79 at the Penn relays in 2010, but it would be nice to see how fast he could run a 100 meter starting in full stride

  • @chatarapha amen
