I saw this movie when it came out on ppv and I STILL don't know what everyone is complaining about. It's at least as good as any other super hero movie out in the last few years and way better than many others (another one with Green in the title comes to mind).

I'm not a huge fan of Ryan Renolds but in this case he was great and I can't imagine a better choice.

The black lantern that you are thinking of is John Stewart(not the daily show one). Hal Jordan came first and then John did. Hal is the green lantern that most people know of so that would be why they would choose him to have the movie based off. Those who are bitching, read the comic and see for yourself. Hopefully they don't screw this DC comic movie up

The CGI in this film looked absolutely terrible and to make matters worse there was too much of it.

Little children might be able to forgive it, but to any adult it looked totally stupid and was too off-putting.

@shakir1506 NO Here's the chronological order Hal Jordan 1956 was the first Green Lantern, next John Stewart 1972 is black and the 2nd Green Lantern the next is Kyle Rayner 1993 who's mixed still a Green Lantern. The other also has the Green Lantern uniform is Guy Gardner however he's more of a jerk.

Alan Scott was a Green Lantern but he never wore the costume as Hal, John, Kyle and even Guy.

A typical comic book concept and perhaps irrelevant as the movie versions can go in another direction but in Thor, Loki appeared to died, but in the ending teaser we see Loki is alive. Jason Statham or Jude Law would've suited this part more than this comedy movie bafoon... furthermore why does every superhero movie have to have this family, fun, adventure, comedy genre tied into the story... How about some serious, dark and realistic portrayals of how these types of stories would unfold. I hate how Hollywood dumbs shit down so they can put a PG13+ sticker on the poster and make more money.... The only good superhero movie in the last decade was 'Watchmen'
