  • do you live alone or something?

  • How did i get here

  • Thumbs up if the hunger games bought u here

  • I really really enjoy all of your videos

  • @MrFrost227 Thanks!

  • Thanks for the tips, especially regarding butter knives. Those would be great to practice with. Never thought of that.

  • @TheDarkRasputin Welcome!

  • Quick question: What do you think about the Hibben Small Competition Triple Thrower set? In my country knife shops are few and far between. I'm planning on ordering some knives on the internet (but from within the border, getting it from the great outside shouldn't be a problem, but I'll avoid it if I can, just in case) and they look like some of the better looking ones on the site.

I take it they are only good for spin throwing, though, but that's the place to start anyways, right?

  • "Bigger is better" THAT'S WHAT SHE SAID

  • Schöne Messer

  • I really enjoyed this video, I get this question quite a bit. You answered it really well!

  • @shaykai Thanks :) Although, I still get the same question!

  • I like your style of throwing knives.

  • Bigger is better !!!!!!!

  • @ 1:00 I have the one on the left IRL

  • thats wut she said ;)

  • those little small light weight knives i find are lots of fun with dart boards ;)

  • Agree w your message here :)

  • Good video, I shared with my FB friends

  • @survivaleveryday Why thank you :)

  • if you want a good deal go to amazon thier prices are damn good i got a kukri thier for 7 doolars (average price 70 bucks)

  • FUCK MY COUNTRY!!!

Throwing knives are illegal here D:

  • Wow! You must have a lot of money but you earned so good job on vid

  • @brianelias98 Thank you :)

  • Wow! Girl you got a lot of knives

  • I'll give you ten inches ;)

  • Replace the word knife with Dick in this video and see how many laughs u get.

  • i reccomend the glock field knife, you can get it on cheaper than dirt, its alot more fun to throw then a cold steel knife

  • I have the ones that are second

  • Tasting blood? Last year I ordered the Cold Steel Pro Balance. I got the knife, and was going to take it out of the package, but it slipped though the package and the tip of the knife hit my big toe after going though my sneaker!

It did not really hurt all that much, but sure enough when I took my shoe off, I was bleeding.

I still have not learned to throw, I'm going to try again soon, you have given me new inspiration... 0_0 Thanks!

  • @goscott4 Those knives are too sharp for a throwing knife-- grind them down before practicing. You don't need a sharp edge. It can be dangerous! Thanks for sharing.

  • So if like some dude snatched your purse and you had a knife could you stick him as he ran, or have you not reached that level of badassery yet?

  • Hi I Goa S&W Extream Ops Folding 7.8In Long Blade 4.5In.

? Is Are My Knifes Ok For Thowing ?.

I Need To Make A New Video Of My Knifes Soon.

I Sen You My Old Video I Got 2 More Knifes Now.

  • @mccrackenphillip I would throw knives made specifically for knife throwing if you're concerned.

  • @Xolette I See Sec Time I Tryed All Hits Too.

  • @Xolette Hmm Actually the Sure Balance pro are 35$ each on your link and pretty much every site i look at.. are you sure of the price you said in the video ?

  • @Belthezum I got mine for $20 each on eBay. Check there. I never pay retail-- I've always been able to find a cheaper price. :)

  • You are really good at replying. To people's comments thanks for the advise

  • @MrM8ify I try! :)

  • @Xolette You made some brilliant observations. An ordinary table knife is practical and it's probably what's available in an emergency at a kitchen, a picnic table or a restaurant. By the way, you sure are a good looking woman!!! <3 1:34 & 2:01

  • @markukkerd Thank you :)

  • if u can hurt ur selv by throwing a knife.. damnn ur definitely a women.

  • U are for ME

  • Final Destination 5

  • KUNAIS RULE!!! I HAVE ONE

  • I HAVE A BUTTERFLY KNIFE AND I MITE MAKE A VIDEO ON IT

  • Have you ever considered looking into SCA or something similar? Combat, weapons, knife/axe throwing...it has it all! SCA is all over the US too.

  • @betif00 Nope, but sounds interesting. I'll look into it :)

  • bigger is better... thanks for the flying knives rundown, just one question, why do you pick solid large knives instead of ones that have holes?

  • @TSUNAMIxxTIGERxxFANG Knives have holes can be decorative or for weight reasons-- maybe the manufacturer wants more weight in the blade than the handle. There's no need for holes, in my opinion. A blade heavy knife is hard to no spin throw, but fine for spin throwing.

  • @MegaFatboy42 There is no age to knife size ratio-- the advice in this video applies to any person interested in the sport of knife throwing. Although, I'd ask permission from your parents before getting into such a sport.

  • That's what she said...

    So YOU'RE 'she'!!

  • Hi I just found your channel, and I really want to learn how to throw a knife. How is a kunai knife?

  • @TheTurtleMasacre I recommend Jack Daggers Knife Throwing 101 DVD available on his website. In terms of the kunai, check out my favorited videos-- one of those videos is from 'knifethrower' and he talks about kunais.

  • @Xolette Thank you

  • By 3 minutes in I had counted over a dozen TWSS's.

  • sorry but i just have to say this:

" Its not the size, its how you use it" Nigel Powers from Austin Powers

  • those are huge lol

  • You ever tried throwing tomahawks ??

  • @mb666100 Sure, check out my video "Tomahawks Designed by Jack Dagger"

  • @mb666100 best when end of throwing knife are hevy

  • You're asian and talking about throwing stars, that's racist.

  • the blade on the butter knives look really light compared to the handle. wouldn't that make it difficult for you to sink the blade into the target?

  • @537CH No-- as long as the weapon has a point at the end (doesn't need to be sharp) it'll stick. Though, lighter knives are harder to stick than heavier knives

  • what about a cordage handle

  • Lol ur whole vid had tht what she said jokes all through it.....great vid!!

  • I recommend the cold steel true flight thrower for spin throwing. The true flight is an ideal knife for spin. Large, heavy, and well balanced, it is easy to control. It has a solid stick and it's easy to see the difference between it and a cheap throwing knife you can get for five bucks. It can withstand lots of use and abuse. However, overtime(months) the wrapping will fall off and the knife will snap at the hole in the handle from pressure built up from vibrations. It's a great throwing knife.

  • @Huningha In my opinion, knives in which you have to constantly replace the handle is too much maintenance-- I'd rather get a solid piece of metal, no removable handle. But it's all about personal preference. :)

  • @Xolette it's a solid peice of steel but it has paracord wrapping around the handle for grip... it's optional wether you want it or not

  • @PyroXiphos True-- I meant like the handle (meaning the paracord wrapping). Which isn't too difficult to replace, but some knives come with plastic grips that break off and you need to order replacements for it. My friends had to wrap duct tape around their handles to avoid this.

  • @Xolette yeah true, I just removed mine as it's a little bit grabby when no spin throwing, but I agree, plastic handles on throwing knives (which take a LOT of abuse) is a pretty bad idea :P

  • @Xolette cold steel true flight is solid. just a twine (or at least im assuming thats the material) wrapping around that end of the knife for extra grip. i love your videos by the way

  • @KIDWICKED369 True-- I meant like the handle (meaning the paracord wrapping). Which isn't too difficult to replace, but some knives come with plastic grips that break off and you need to order replacements for it. My friends had to wrap duct tape around their handles to avoid this.

  • @Xolette yea, plastic handles always break

  • @Xolette dang there is this trowing knife that i used to trow alot but i forget what it's called. it is thin on the bottom, then curves up and rounds to a point. I'm pretty sure it's not an eastern european or english one. can you tell me what it might be? thanks

  • @rsn00b4life I'm not sure which throwing knife you're talking about. Check out budk and they sell many commercial throwing knives.

  • try throwing pocket knives...its fun once you get good at normal throwing knive...its more of a challenge:)

  • @piemanof07 Sure, watch my "Spyderco" video. I throw my pocket knife in that one-- but I don't recommend doing it often, as it may break

  • @Xolette If you look around on Ebay you will find where the Federal Transit Authority auctions all of the knives and stuff confiscated from people... and they generally only go for a couple bucks or so. That's where I get all my random knifes to test and practice with.. so it doesn't bother me when they break lol.

  • @lostinbatcuntry Nice, thanks for the advice!

  • What would you recommend if I want to get into 360 cross map throwing knives?

  • What if you a 14 yr old that likes to throws knife when your board... But would like to become good at it. What would I buy a large, medium, or small?

  • HER TITTIES!!! HOLY SH- *She throws knife at my neck, coughs up blood*

  • You have inspired me to start throwing :)

  • what can i throw the sure balance thrower at?

  • @blueskater9 Soft woods, like pine or cedar. Watch my video, "How to Make a Flat Board Knife Throwing Target".

  • @Xolette oh alright because every time i throw it it never goes in deep enough to stick good

  • @blueskater9 If you're throwing at a hard word, like oak, that is likely to happen. Also, throwing against the grain (the grain should be vertical, not horizontal) that would happen, or throwing at knots.

  • Are You philipeno I'm 12 and philipeno and im basic Iearning how to throw 5 inch wide 2inch sharp knife like poker card I'm hopin to be an ninja lol

  • @blackjidragonchoas I'm Filipino-- or Filipina to be exact. Got to spell it correctly! :) Be careful throwing.

  • I just got a set of six throwing knives with the name blackwater on them from the del mar crossroads gun show and i love them

  • The kinves you said you used to think were HUGE i throw the more rounded one with5 holes in the handel any tips for throwing with them or mabey u can put up a video about it or somthing

  • @weegary100 It's the same technique for throwing 8" knives to 12" knives. Check out my "Spin vs. No Spin" or "No Spin" video for tips on how to throw.

  • I like kunai especially when they are balanced...are you a knife and sword enthusiast? Or just throwing knives?

  • @CIMusgrave Just throwing knives

  • Thoughts on throwing kunai?

  • @CIMusgrave I think the ring at the end is functionless for throwing.

  • Just wanted to say sorry...I promised a video review of the mumyou-ryu knife from Flying Steel back in summer 2011, I filmed the raw footage back then and never got to edit it. If it's worth anything, I love it and I still practice in my spare time...it's a good size (not too big or small) and has a nice weight to it. If you are throwing mumyou-ryu style, you will have to make a handle for it that fits your hand (there is a good reason for that, i.e. transfer of energy for a powerful throw).

  • @betif00 think of the handle as a customized grip for a handgun. It balances the knife for your size of hand and you can control where the center of gravity is.

  • @betif00 No worries-- I'm behind in my editing as well. Thanks for the update!

  • Hi, I am looking for a set of throwing knives but I have a few questions for you. My first question is: Would it make sense to get a knife with a grip or not. My second question is : If I threw a knife at a wall at full force would I get the knife stuck because like you I live in an apartment if I dent the wall I am really screwed, thanks

  • @rugbyman550 I don't prefer grips for throwing knives. Most throwing knives don't have handles-- it's just a solid piece of metal. If you throw any piece of metal at a wall, full force, most likely you will cause damage. I throw in my apartment, and wish I could throw outdoors instead. I've accumulated some damage. Holes you can fix with spackle, but I don't know how to explain the dents in my refrigerator :)

  • I got the cs sure balance today and tried it in my apartment. Thing is the damn thing got a huge chip on the grind after hitting one of my other knives on a very light throw (barely enough power to make it stick). Just massive bad luck or do u have the same problem? Would it help if i grinded it down so it isnt as sharp?

(Its a short range in my apartment hence the low power throw, and dont wanna get a ricochet from the sure balance, and full power could possibly tear thru my board =) )

  • @Dravorath I'd definitely regrind if there's a chip. In general, throwers shouldn't be sharp, so I'd regrind all of them to have dull edge. What's important is that there's a tip and that it's flat.

It's normal for some chips to occur-- but more frequently if the edge is too thin and flat. Good luck!

  • You should get some leaf springs out of the back of a pickup or car and make your own knives. They'd be the perfect weight/length :)

  • are the cold steel sure balance throwers any good for no spin throwing or would the perfect balance or true flight throwers be better? wat do u think is the best of the 3 of these?

  • @jabara83 In my opinion, neither of the 3. Those are all good for spin throwing. The handle on the sure balance is too short, the true flight has that corded handle, and the perfect balance is way too heavy for a quick no spin throw. I'd get them for spin throwing. If you want to get some no spin knives, go to Flying Steel (and check out my "Review of Flying Steel") They're an awesome company

  • Hey very informative video! Im actually a whip performer and am looking into trying knife throwing! can never have too many hobbies;-)

  • @CiscoTheMan Great! My friend JackDaggerTKOF and TODDREX both are great at whipping. You should check out their channels. I also have a video of Jack whipping and throwing knives in my video "Socal Ren Faire"

  • @Xolette Actually Ive talked to Jack a few times lol. Ive also seen a little of what Todd does, Im looking at buying Jacks custom knives. They is purty.

  • @CiscoTheMan I agree-- definitely!

  • female knife thrower. thats hot

  • Good info in that vid. I was expecting more "size" related comments on here lol

  • @1dducks I know, right? I think it's because I have that caption in my vid. I should do that more often :)

  • @Xolette Yet you appear so proper... jk

  • You r sooo cool

  • Hmmmm I have been looking at the Cold Steel throwing knives for a while. My friend got the True Flight which has a handle.

  • you are just so cool!

  • very true. I hate light knives.

  • 1:18 1:20 thats what she said to me

  • @fpsEnrique haha

  • If you could compare the zeils to the true flights or one set better than both which would be best.

  • @skewerthis1234 The Zeils definitely

  • Lol awesome the comment from typicalbromide was supposed to be from me. Do you know any good reviews on the boker Bailey knives?

  • @skewerthis1234 This video has my comments on the Bailey Boker Ziel Knife. I recommend this knife for a cheaper spin throwing knife-- but beware as the metal bends. The tips bend, eventually will break off and you will need to sharpen it. But overall, it has a great feel to it and I prefer throwing this knife using the spin method compared to my Cold Steel Sure Balance knives which are too heavy and think. If you watch my Spin vs. No Spin video, I throw them towards the end of my video.

  • Hey xolette luv ur vids but I was wondering if you could do a vid on the boker bailey knives I'm highly interested in them but I can't find any good vids.

  • i had 3 practice knives now i just have 1... the other 2 got lost somewhere over the fence :(

  • what do u think of Nieto throwing knifes

  • where can i find something like the cold steel shure flight thrower

  • @allroundvidmaker It's been discontinued for awhile. Check out Flying Steel-- their design is similar to the Sure Flight.

  • @Xolette those at the flying steel are like 35 dollars per knife

  • @allroundvidmaker Yes, but they are worth it. Made in the US, great steel. Steel made in China doesn't follow US standards. Flying Steel's quality policy is if does chip or break they'll replace or regrind for free. I've bought plenty of $10 knives, and they're too light, or they bend, and they chip. Check out my video on "review of flying steel". You can definitely search for cheaper knives with the same design as the Sure Flight (I've seen some on budk) but beware of the quality.

  • @Xolette ok thank you ill have to take your word for it :D

  • Comment removed

  • Very nice, informative video & have seen others so I know you can back up what you say, interesting to see a young woman that is interested in the edged weapons hobby, wish they were more. BTW Cold Steel does make great throwing blades, try their GI Tanto & Shanghai Shadow but with scales removed, really nice throwers (a bit more costly AND be careful they are sharp-can be grinded to dull). Good job looking forward to your next one.

  • @Gent1911 Thanks for the advice and the comment :)

  • how many knifes do you have like 700 or something!

  • Xolette, what do u think about the condor dismissal throwing knives. Can't find many reviews on them. There 1075 carbon steel, 12 and 14 inch, but no rc rating that i can find? Please let me know, thanks!

  • Question- How much would a cheap grinder cost? Like one that gets the job done, but isn't fancy in any way shape or form? And do you know where I could get one? Thanks!

  • @peanutmaster1231 Ask any associate at Home Depot or Lowe's. I'm sure they can answer that. The cheapest "grinder" though, can be a large metal file. Good luck.

  • @Xolette You can get grinders from 25+ range. I rekon a cheap one would suffice for this light of work. Ps. I ran across you in hopes of getting into throwing knives again (I remember being a kid trying) and I didn't buy into a butter knife actually working so I tried it.. I'll be damned if within 10+- throws at 10ft I wasn't reliably getting my 3 stuck in the tree out front.. What surprised me was the 1/2" penetration! Good Tip, I can practice while waiting on some good knives, Thanks! :)

  • @1slomr2 When I was throwing my true flight thrower I got 1 inch penetration into trees counting the bark. I hope you took her advice and got some big ass knives. ;)

  • @Lyecdevf Actually, I've gotten a few cheap throwers to tinker with while waiting on my paycheck to order a set of Flying steels north wind's. I liked her review of them so I plan to pick up 3 this week, and maybe another set to try out.. Haven't decided on anything accept the north winds yet, which as I said ordering this week. :)

  • Do you actually carry any sort of weapon during the day? I imagine it would be tricky in California, not to mention working at a school.

  • @mightywombat I have an... I think it's called ASP defender keychain. It's pepper spray.

  • throwing knives arent good for killing zombies

  • on those bokers coud you gimme a link that ships worldwide for 19bucks a piece shipping excluded

  • those 13inches boker theyre just hmmmm 70dollars? and 30dollars shippinh so 100dollar total..:p i read saw video and took a 8inch cus im a newb and i think it will work cus i aint paying 100dbucks for 2knifes at ebay

  • use cold steel and c what i meen !!

  • I was wondering if you could do a video on throwing knife maintenance; grinding filing straighting polishing etc. everything we need to know about maintaining our knives? pretty please :D thanks in advance.

  • @theaphotic Thank you for the idea--- btu I'm not an expert on maintenance. I do have a grinder, which is what you should use. Just haven't needed to do any maintenance as of yet. When I do, I'll post a vid.

  • i do all techniques baby ;)

  • I have a question since you seem good with knives, where im at in the U.S. if the blade of a knife(Besides kitchen knifes) is over 6" its illegal, so do you know any good knives with blades under 6"?

  • $mecKera colectie are gagica, primele modele sunt slabe, dar ultimele 3 modele provoaca daune serioase mai ales daca esti artist in arta throwingului de cutzyte..

  • I have an electric can opener and on the back it has a grinding wheel which is perfect for scissors and small knives, works great for my throwers. :D

  • Those are a lot more expensive now

  • Full tang, would what.you would call a "solid piece of metal" knife.

  • Lol as a small kid I would sharpen the tips of my butter knives and use them as throwing knives.

  • holy crap my head allmost poped with how many 'thats wat she said' jokes i could make!! but realy, nice video and very good info :)

  • HI! :D First timer looking to get some throwing knives!

Would you recommend the SOG throwing knives even though its 10"? Im also thinking of getting the SOG Tactical Tomahawk. Have any throwing axes and hawks recommends?

  • @drummerboy4seddhou If its the adjustable set-- I think they're too expensive. But honestly, it's up to you to try them out. It's all personal preference. The throwing knives I love are from Flying Steel-- watch my "Review of Flying Steel" video. As for tomahawks, I have a video on my friend's tomahawks-- the video is called "Tomahawks designed by Jack Dagger". Good luck!

  • @drummerboy4seddhou I have lots of knives and I like my Sogs. They are fine and stick well because of the sharp tip. I wrap my handles with hockey tape. That eliminates the annoying cut out letters, gives a positive grip and helps when they bump each other. 6 knives are a good number so you can practice without running back and forth. Make a wood target like Xolette shows in one of her vids. Also soaking with a bucket of water helps make it soft.
