@kwambo If I remember correctly, it's just a series of inverted major and minor chords within the key of the song. They're pretty basic chords and only use strings 1-3

hey brandon, i have a BOSS ME-25, and it has a cool phaser and sometimes sounds like ph-2 but, do you think the sensitive of the knobs are similar to the ph2?(i mean, for example 1.00pm RATE in ph-2 is similar to 1.00pm rate in boss me-25) because i tried those parameters and the phaser is changing from phase to phase too fast, and sound like in the song pardon me ( " and rise above the flames ")

@pipe603 I've never messed with an ME-25, and I've also never found anything that imitate a PH-2 well enough for my taste, so I would just suggest messing with the knobs until you get something that sounds good. In Pardon Me, the effect used when Brandon sings "rise above the flames" (live anyway) is the MXR Phase 90 with the knob turned all the way to the right

@pipe603 I'm sorry, we don't have any tabs, all the ones on the internet are inaccurate, which is the whole reason why we started this project. We've just been listening to and playing Incubus songs for years and have watched hundreds of videos to correct our playing.

@jibbrian it's called a volume swell. basically start off with one of the volume pots at zero, pick a chord/note, then simultaneously roll the volume up with your pinky. the guy demonstrates it quite well in this video.

Doesn't Mike run his delay pre-overdrive? His repeats usually have that dirty sound to them, similar to The Edge in the early 80's.

Mike's setup is pretty simple, just a giant pedal board with all his effects on it going straight into his amps. Nowadays, he uses a Vox for his clean sound and a Marshall for his distortion, but during the Morning View era he just used both channels on his Mesa/Boogie amps.
