  • the role of his eyes when he says "i'm collecting for charity" sums up the office to me, the genius is in the subtleties!

  • Love the office.

And love this USA vs UK fight you guys got going on here. This coming from non usa or UK.... oh yeah the original UK office is better. :D

  • this is funny....but im used to michael scott!!

  • Haven't seen this in years, and already my skin is crawling just listening to Brent speak!

This was an unbelievably good series.

  • I don't get it

  • US UK US UK US UK!!!!!!!!!!!!

Whatever, Ricky get's money for both.

  • This JUST happened on TV and I laughed so hard I had to go look it up on youtube to see it again. Thank you for uploading this

  • the uk version is good, the usa version is great. case closed.

  • Haha, I love the guy on the right side of the screen (in black) whose hands don't even move once he stops clapping. His hands just stay closed.

  • "...if there's a difference, mine was impromptu, but I don't think you should get extra points for that!"

    LMAO

  • 0:46 - 0:51 HAHAHAHA

  • Ricky Gervais = LEGEND

  • That would've been funny if it had been danced by Michael Scott

  • The U.S Version is way better.

  • @pfl264 With this series there would be no US version.. and the US version had to be dumbed down so americans could understand it.

This is the orginal .. and the best.

  • @MyFishHasFeet too right

  • @MyFishHasFeet Im american, so of course I dont think this kind of comedy is funny. I could care less if this is the original... US is still better in my book.

  • @pfl264 The US version was only good from s1-3.

  • what song is he humming to??????????

  • @rozzabayor The Trammps "Disco Inferno"

  • I'm American and I can safely say that the US version doesn't hold a candle to the the UK version along with David Brents exploits.

One of the funniest show's I've ever seen. Never get tired of watching it.

  • @musicspider911 i feel the same way

  • gareth - we dont have to give a donation for that do we? lol

  • loool i love this dance :D

  • At the beginning where he says "Well, as it's for charity... just a little bit."

WHY JUST A LITTLE BIT?! He should have kept going! :D

  • ROFL thats gold. ive only seen the american office, but after seeing this, omg i wanna get the uk version soo bad! like did u see that crab dance at 0:46! hahahaha

  • Is there a remix of this song?

  • Even the guy in black starts smiling at 0:47 and 602 likes with 14 dislikes, it's good to know there is justice in the world

  • i love when neil covers his mouth.

  • so.. nd thats......

  • The US series has its moments (Scott's Tots being the most 'cringe' worthy) but it's the characters and their relations that have kept it going. Not the scenarios or the script, and certainly not the comedy.

Which is why I think the series is currently failing (in my view) because everyone's done everything with everyone, there's nothing left to explore, or at least, as Americans do, they're dragging it out 100 hours more than necessary.

  • I love the agressive determination!! lol

  • @Doc Brewster: you're an actual spastic!

  • You MUST wqatch this stoned! - I just had a luaghing attack like i havent had since first time i smoked! Funnny az!

  • Watch all the office the british one and then try watch that American crap, its just shocking

  • @jaylpp12

Absolutely. I watched all of the original back in the day and I was bladdy disappointed when I heard about the US ripoff. I knew it was gonna be bad. It was worse.

  • Oh people, people! For heavens sake... The US Verison is for the US folks sense of humour. The UK version was the original, and made for the UK sense of humour. What people find amusing in one country doesn't necessarily 'travel' well to another country. Can't you simply understand that there are cultural differences and neither programme is better than any other. They're equally great for their own country. It's not something to get nasty about people. It's simply common sense.

  • @Guineepoohs

Um.. No. The US version was made because everyone saw how brilliant the original was and they'd found something to make good money off. Of course their stupid minds aren't capable of grasping the way to do it, and they just make a general US sitcom out of it, with only the very most obvious things taken into account, things such as no campy audience. They don't see beyond superficial, obvious things in the US. They can't go that deep. The depths of realism are completely untouched

  • @jella11

Just because one persons personality & sense of fun, or countrys in this instance, is different to yours doesn't mean that they're in any way wrong. You, I'm guessing, are, like me, born & bred in Great Britain, but you're opinions of things will differ even from your own mothers. Doesn't mean either of you are wrong, just means that you're individuals. I don't find the US version of The Office overly funny, but I don't feel the need to be rude to America as a whole. Why do you?

  • @Guineepoohs

I don't feel the need to be rude to them. It's no use. I just feel like expressing my thoughts on it and possibly enlighten others, like people who haven't watched the original office, on how much better that is. It's not just to do with sense of humor. Even technically speaking. The US version has this typically American non-realistic scripting where everything is just too coincident. I mean, the original, who else could do that.. But the US version, every writer can cough that up

  • @Guineepoohs I am not from any of those two countries and still think UK version is thousand times better. Much better acted, more clever, more subtle (despite this dance haha), more adult, more everything. So what does your common sense think about that... maybe it's that UK version is simply much better and that is?

  • @NicotinMan well said ur a hero

  • U.S. OFFICE!!!

  • @21ReMix21 is shit

  • JAJAJAJA

  • haha, girl in red definitely laughed at :48

  • @aaronrister yes she did :D i noticed it too

  • Let's just draw a line under this debate. America and England have differentiating senses of humour. This therefore means that some things we find funny, they may not, and vice versa. I love the UK version and in my opinion it is the better one, but I would say that, because it's the style of comedy I am used to and I enjoy. Some Americans' may naturally prefer their version, and that's fine. It's what they are used to, it's their style of comedy. No point arguing about it.

  • its the pirate man with a wooden eye!

  • Both versions of good. Two different styles of humor. Just leave it at that. Depending on what style of humor you like, that is the one you watch.

  • Lol watch the impressions show with culshaw and Stevenson lmao now that is funny just type do the dance Ricky in on YouTube x

  • Classic!!!!

  • This reminds me of bo selecta

  • Man has nervous breakdown, we all laugh...............not sure its funny anymore.

  • My teacher tried to do this at the talent show.... :/ :D lol

  • I am ashamed to say that is my first and middle name ='(

  • @starstruckstarfuck lol its so funny

  • @starstruckstarfuck comedy.

  • do do doo do do do!

  • Keep your eye on the girl in red in the background from 0:45 she can't help it lol

  • @MissTeeenAIabama Haha, never noticed that before. Thanks for pointing that out.

  • @MissTeeenAIabama

I wonder if that was a mistake.

  • She went to my school in Formby. :)

  • Legendary! Look at Tim's face whille Brent is dancing.

  • I once thought my dance moves were unique but now they are in the public domain ha. Often missunderstood, no not me well ok maybe, but Ricky Gervais; this guy portrays David Brent perfectly yet he gets personally slated for it mainly by people who have not given The Office a chance. The guy is a genius if you ask me, very original pure comedy. The Office has me in stitches and cringing with embarrassment and that means it works!

  • the windmill smack at the beginning is my favorite lol

  • I especially like "the crab" towards the end xD

  • wow that was funny

  • possibly the most cringe worthy thing ever to be shown on television. Gervais is the king of cringe, a true master

  • Lol. I always tried to think what this tune is. Then I remembered that it`s the bass line to 'burn baby burn'. Awasome.

  • @Lucas15m I think that's 'Disco Inferno' by 'Trammps'. Sounds like it

  • fucking halarious well done ricky

  • LOOL

  • .. LOL.

  • hehe, made my day :))

  • The thing is David Brent is actually my real name...

  • The look on Jennifer's face, you can see she's not trying to break charachter and burst out laughing. In fact, Big Keith is the only one who looked really serious. lol

  • all the money collected is for both dances, both excellent dances!

  • Genuis...pure genuis. I love Ricky!!!!

  • at 0:49 you can see the guy in the black break... I would too... I'm so impressed with all of them for keeping a straight face..... hahaha

  • Comedy gold! Pure comedy gold!!

  • 0:43 - 0:51

  • Its the best DANG video ever!!! He is so pure comic gold!!!!!!

  • lmao, i love how he keeps humming the tune after everyone stops.

  • hahahaaaa

  • Every office has one...

  • Would you still be friends with me if I danced like this?

    -jnr

  • @jrosnick2 I would WANT to be friends with you if you danced like this...lol

    ~Kadie

  • Let's see Steve Carrell try and copy that :L

  • Funniest thing eva! XD

  • It never gets old! Always cracks me up XDD

  • gervais = king

  • I NEED MORE PALM FOR MY FACE PALM!

  • i can watch this a million times and still laugh. i love how Gervais really took the realism of ackward situations and how people react to them....i'm usually the one bursting out laughing in that group while every just sorta...stares.

  • Don't be ridiculous.

  • @xSeedsofEvil US Citizens are 10x Bigger

  • lol

  • 'mine was impromptu'

  • @bloempje2305

    LMFAO, amazing line.

  • The Office video comments always turn into a UK vs US version battle. Just admit the UK version is better, is the original, and go away quietly :)

I hear Spike TV over there is piloting a US version of Peep Show soon. Not to mention X-Factor is heading over the pond. Where does it end?

  • i'm not gonna lie though, I'd love to see a US version of Peep Show, lol.

  • @StewartDC8 Apparantly, if i remember properly, there was one in development however I don't think its pilot got passed or something.

  • @Hieroglyphically this scene was awesome

here the usa version is crap but ricky's one man show was aful and offensive sorry mate.!

  • @jocksmen which show are you talking about? his stand-up?

  • @Hieroglyphically Yes thats what I said

    One man show.

    A DISGRACE.!

  • @Hieroglyphically So true. I'm sick of people saying that the US version is better because they have more seasons. Gervais and Merchant left it at 2 for a reason.

  • @Hieroglyphically sure, it may be the original one but the american version has better actors with better timing, more seasons, better chemistry between jim and pam (or dawn and jeff or watever) and better scripting!

But like they say, immitation is the best form of flattery ... unless the immitation is WAY better! lol

  • @raterateratensub ahh but its not better :P

  • @Hieroglyphically the us version is soo jokes man u cant compare them i dont mind the accents but being born and raised here id rather watch something from the states

  • @Hieroglyphically we could admit that, if we felt that way, OR we could just watch whatever version we enjoy most and shut the fuck up about it. :)

  • @Hieroglyphically if the US is in the 7th season and the uk one only managed 3 seasons, which one do you think is better you small boy

  • @Aods11 Are you kidding? You think that we only had 3 series because we it wasn't as good? Nope - Ricky said he didn't want to do anymore because it was good enough already & he didn't want it to go downhill. If you do too many of a series then it begins to go stale. Our version is the original and best. And 'small boy'? If this was meant as patronising, it didn't work. Ours is the orginal and the best.

  • @Rachiejane1 haha small girl. your so small. you see, youve basically just said.. THEY WERE RUNNING OUT OF IDEAS, SO THEY STOPPED.

u.s office, well they havent run out of ideas yet.. have they ??

    nope.

and btw im english and i still think the u.s version is better so hahaaa

  • @Aods11 'So Haahaha?' are you 12? If you listen to Gervais' interview, he says he stopped because he wanted to finish on a high, not that he ran out of ideas. If he ran out of ideas then why did he take it to the US? Were you dropped on your head as a child? To be honest, you are the perfect type of person to be a fan of the US version because you seem like an immature child. Again, this version is the original and best. You are embarassing yourself.

  • @Rachiejane1 oooooooooooo im only after realizing that your a complete gervais fanboy/girl whatever you are. your obviously completely obsessed with everything he does. 'if you listen to gervais's interview' blah blah blah no one gives a shit. so because he took it to the US it means he had lots of ideas ? riiiiight, good one. theres more then one person that works on the show, stop pretending that gervais is some kind of god, he's shit. the best thing he ever did was make a US version.. suck it

  • @Aods11 a) I'm not a 'fan girl' (my name is hardly a boy's name is it!) & nor am I obsessed. I just think he's done some good stuff. People obviously DO give a shit because people asked him why he didn't carry on with more of the original & he answered. He took it to the US for the money & because he had more ideas & they wanted a version because our original was so popular. I know more than one person works on the show but Gervais co-wrote the original & worked on the US version. I don't think

  • @Aods11 Gervais is some kind of god, he is just a person and the rest is just your OPINION, not fact. And 'suck it'? Again, you sound like you are 12 or just a pathetic little troll. I feel sorry for your parents...

  • @Rachiejane1 ok you win, im actually 18 lol

  • @Hieroglyphically you're so right but when the morons here diss ALL american comedy as a whole it makes me mental. Gervais and merchants influences for the office were mainly all american anyway.

  • 0:46 to 0:51 is my fave part XD

  • 0:48 the chick cracks a laugh

  • Totally priceless ^^

  • superb

  • that so awkwardly hilarious

  • Endlessly BRILLIANT! :D

  • hahahahahahaha

  • Ricky Gervais can't let me without at least a smile!!!

  • lmao wen he started grunting lol

  • LOL

  • Next time I go to a club, I'm doing 0:47

  • the office is one of my favorite show of all time. the uk version that is. when i first saw this dance i did it at my friends birthday party when a girl asked me to dance and i made everyone laugh at me but i made a complete ass of myself. then one time i did it at a beach party. u should of seen all of their reactions. they were all "WTF???" Ricky Gervais is a comedy god. P.S. u SHOULD do this dance at a club. just hope someone has a camera so they can record it and put it up online.

  • "mine was impromtu. but i don't think you should get extra points for that... necessarily."

  • i lol'd when i first saw this, makes anyone laugh

  • 0:47 is funny, the girl in the red dress can't keep a straight face, when this was first shown on tv I was pissing myself.

  • My favourite clip from the The Office.
