Whats the point? You cant hover thats why you cant land without crashing. Also did you turn right at all in the video? Does it only go left because of the torque from the main blades forces it to go left?? !!!!
Very clever.. however, by doing that your not following the principle of helicopter flight - your not able to hover with no tail-rotor.. so in theory this is more like a gyrocopter then a helicopter.. :)
@joehandsome99 thanks just wanted some info because im making a hyperfly msr cuz my tail motors out. ill have the video up by friday if you want to check it out
@rcrules1 Too many to name. Browse horizon hobby, tower hobby, or nitro planes online. There are many other places to get planes also, those are my top picks at the moment.
thats cool that it works, and you can fly some basic patterns using your right stick, but nothing beats complete rudder control especially on hel's.I'd buy another cheap tail motor..but again good job showing it can be flown without rear rotor.
When I first saw that HoneyBee, I immediately thought of Dave and his "You don't need no stinkin' rotor!" video. You gave Dave the credit for your inspiration. You and Dave are both good guys on Youtube. Keep up the good work!
@stevetinyhallman It should with any single rotor helis. Just a matter of trial and error. This one was pretty easy though. Thanks for watching Steve.
@Pithan20 The controls are still the same except for hovering and reverse flight. It takes a little getting used to, but it sure is fun! Thanks for watching.
Wow, what a great thing to see, Eric. Now that you know what it is like with no tail rotor, there will be no stopping you with one. Great Job and it sure looked smooth. Thanks for the great tribute. Better bring it with you, so we can have Hyper Pylon racing with them now. Thumbs up. Dave
@NightFlyyer Well it was great fun to try it and you know I like to experiment with new toys. Thanks kindly for the support Dave. You are truly an inspiration to us all.
Hi Eric is that a fixed pitched heli ? anyways i take it because the tail motor has gone it won't hover now ;-) that was a good idea and i've seen Daves video's on this but i wouldn't of thought of using it,so well done mate and thumbs up.
man, you know I am so horrible at flying helis and I have a falcon 40 because of it, I suppose i better do this to it to actually be able to fly. So much like a plane with that pie plate.
how do u get the sidways thrust to spin it around?? or is it just the way u arc it up like ur doing a chandel??

@magicmike1122 It's like using ailerons to turn on a plane. It leans into the turns.

@Admiral1428 Dave inspired me to try it and I did. Stay tuned as I will be flying my hyper honeybee with Dave soon.
joehandsome99 1 year ago
very cool! I am kind of confused how it turns. I guess the 'ailerons' cause it to tip and turn insead of just swaying? Very nice! Thumbs UP!
earthling1984 1 year ago
@earthling1984 correct. It leans into the turns like you would with ailerons on an rc airplane.
joehandsome99 1 year ago
That flyes way better than with the tail rotor..!!!
