  • how do u get the sidways thrust to spin it around?? or is it just the way u arc it up like ur doing a chandel??

  • Whats the point? You cant hover thats why you cant land without crashing. Also did you turn right at all in the video? Does it only go left because of the torque from the main blades forces it to go left?? !!!!

  • does this work well?

  • Dear Santa,

  • nice work dude

  • Very clever.. however, by doing that your not following the principle of helicopter flight - your not able to hover with no tail-rotor.. so in theory this is more like a gyrocopter then a helicopter.. :)

  • grate now it looks like a fat turd hold on so dose the piolet suits him

  • Can you attach larger foam plate instead of main rotor and fly it?

  • I didn't even know that was possible. Well done.

  • Eric,i know that you have made a honeybee NOTAR, but have you thought about a NOTAR Blade MSR?

  • is it controlling the throttle act as rudder?

  • how does it turn?????

  • @legomastter13 u lean to the left or right

  • thanks

  • u Could Call it Hyper Bee

  • how does it turn exactly?

  • Flies pretty well even thought it has no yaw control.

  • how does it turn thow?

  • @magicmike1122 It's like using ailerons to turn on a plane. It leans into the turns.

  • @joehandsome99 thanks just wanted some info because im making a hyperfly msr cuz my tail motors out. ill have the video up by friday if you want to check it out

  • @magicmike1122 Thats great. Let me know when the video is up. I would like to see it.

  • @joehandsome99 ok i have the video up of the hyper msr

  • @magicmike1122 can i have one

  • @PeeJay100011 yes of course, ill ship it to you first thing in the morning ;)

  • @magicmike1122 for real

  • Looks like it flies very similar to Dave's Hyperfly. Very interesting experiment!

  • @Admiral1428 Dave inspired me to try it and I did. Stay tuned as I will be flying my hyper honeybee with Dave soon.

  • very cool! I am kind of confused how it turns. I guess the 'ailerons' cause it to tip and turn insead of just swaying? Very nice! Thumbs UP!

  • @earthling1984 correct. It leans into the turns like you would with ailerons on an rc airplane.

  • That flyes way better than with the tail rotor..!!!

  • @desertsuneagle I would have to agree with you on that one. lol...

  • do you know of any good 3d epp planes rtf

  • @rcrules1 Too many to name. Browse horizon hobby, tower hobby, or nitro planes online. There are many other places to get planes also, those are my top picks at the moment.

  • @joehandsome99 thanks

  • Nice job Eric, cool video thanks. But when you did the buzz the tower thing weren't you supposed to spill your coffee like that scene in "Top Gun"?

  • @Broncofan941 haha, I'll have to work that in to a video somehow. Thanks for watching.

  • Thumbs up, this was cool Eric!

  • @WORRO01 Thanks a million John

  • Nice job Eric, I'll have to try that sometime.

  • @eggyhed Thanks Bob, I'll bring it with me so you can try it out.

  • thats cool that it works, and you can fly some basic patterns using your right stick, but nothing beats complete rudder control especially on hel's.I'd buy another cheap tail motor..but again good job showing it can be flown without rear rotor.

  • @3255959 It is fun to experiment and this was well worth it. Thanks for watching and the comment.

  • When I first saw that HoneyBee, I immediately thought of Dave and his "You don't need no stinkin' rotor!" video. You gave Dave the credit for your inspiration. You and Dave are both good guys on Youtube. Keep up the good work!

  • @standhd Thanks for watching and the compliment. It is appreciated.

  • That is so cool Eric! Awesome video.

  • @moolikeacow2 Thanks for watching and the great comment.

  • Pretty neat. Its not hard to see with a plate on the back either. Will that work with all helicoptors?

  • @stevetinyhallman It should with any single rotor helis. Just a matter of trial and error. This one was pretty easy though. Thanks for watching Steve.

  • nice job eric. 5*

  • @lowrider1812 Thanks for watching and the comment.

  • Nice video as always Eric... Seems like it fly's better than most Honey Bee's with a rotor! Thanks for sharing. ~ James

  • @FangarJim I think you are right about that James. Thanks for watching.

  • How can you make curves with no taill rotor?

  • @Pithan20 The controls are still the same except for hovering and reverse flight. It takes a little getting used to, but it sure is fun! Thanks for watching.

  • very Nice !!!! That worked just as promised. Great Job Eric...

  • @retiredrider Thanks kindly Greg.

  • Great video!

  • @justlostagain Thanks for watching.

  • Nice, Well done!!

  • @jgoudeau207 Thank you

  • that's really cool, i think this is actually the first time i've seen someone other than Mr. herbert try this! Great video and flying as usual!

  • @ramis182 It was a fun experiment. Next is racing Dave with his falcon 40. Thanks for watching.

  • Awesome stuff.

  • @iwatson14 thanks kindly.

  • i did the same on my hb cp2 beautiful in wind lol 20 miles an hour hovering and some foward flight too

  • @synman95 thanks for watching guy.

  • Nice Eric!!! does it still jaw correctly??? its a cool idea!! congrats Dave!

  • @rcwilli1991 yes, everything except hover and backwards unless there is a very strong wind! lol... Thanks for watching.

  • oh very nice!

  • @sundown798 Thanks!

  • Wow, what a great thing to see, Eric. Now that you know what it is like with no tail rotor, there will be no stopping you with one. Great Job and it sure looked smooth. Thanks for the great tribute. Better bring it with you, so we can have Hyper Pylon racing with them now. Thumbs up. Dave

  • @NightFlyyer Well it was great fun to try it and you know I like to experiment with new toys. Thanks kindly for the support Dave. You are truly an inspiration to us all.

  • i'd call it the hyperbee, but oh well...

nice project! if i ever get one of these, i'll try it

  • @remotecontrolaholic Thats a good name, Maybe I should call Kyosho? Thanks for watching.

  • Good job Eric. Very nice video. Gotta love Dave!

  • @hbk2flyer Thanks for the kind words hbk2flyer.

  • dude, you are so awesome joe

  • @007super6 Dude, you are so right! Thanks for watching.

  • Ooh!! I want a helicopter!!!

  • @MZMStudios the sell them all day long at the hobby shop. :)

  • Nice job done! Eric you look like Dave's twin!

  • @shangsandy87 Thanks for watching shangsandy87.

  • What's name of the heli at 0:55? he has flown "what" without a tail?

  • @shangsandy87 it is a video response to this video. Dave flew the falcon 40 the same way.

  • Ha ha, nice!

    No hovering though. =-/

    You better duck!

  • @nishbrown lol.. Thanks for watching nishbrown.

  • cool, cheap and perfectly working solution thx to Dave, well done Eric, she flies great.

We don't need no stinking burnt tailmotor LOL

  • @beverke7 Tail Rotor Motor Failed? No Problem! lol....

  • Hi Eric is that a fixed pitched heli ? anyways i take it because the tail motor has gone it won't hover now ;-) that was a good idea and i've seen Daves video's on this but i wouldn't of thought of using it,so well done mate and thumbs up.

  • @startazz Yes, it's a fixed pitch heli and more fun this way to me. Thanks for watching Ian.

  • cool now replace the main rotor with a plate too lolol:)

  • @uroprop Now that would be a hoot wouldn't it? :)

  • Awsome! Take care!

  • @Blikess Thanks for the comment Blikess

  • awsome

i think im going to do that with mine too

  • @leledreher Thanks leledreher

  • man, you know I am so horrible at flying helis and I have a falcon 40 because of it, I suppose i better do this to it to actually be able to fly. So much like a plane with that pie plate.

  • @BellowingBeaver It is more fun to me this way. Thanks for watching.

  • nice one man!

  • @AussieJarred Thanks Jarred
