I wonder why in God's name didn't they make a sequel to the game? In fact in the game, the main character Chris mentions that "they will be back with bigger guns".....he kinda hints a sequel. And they should have made the movie too. I wonder why neither the sequel nor the movie happened!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!­!!!!!!!!!!!!!

@drpannag they'll make a sequel one day who knows ;))...dumb russians sending in big guns if they think that fire power will subdue the rebels, the only way to crush a rebellion is to strike at its heart and as such to kill the one who leads it and those close to him, without a head the rebellion will dissolve into nothing

It's a very very good game. I played it through two times, and thats very unusual. Usually I play with a game for one time than uninstall. But it was on my computer for... two or three months... I think. But this game is so short... so played time sucks. Even the game is 10/10, the music is 10/10, the conception is 10/10 the creativity is 10/10. AND THE WHOLE GAME IS 10/9.9 (because it is short)

@Willdog31 This game (Freedom Fighters) was actually kinda based of the movie Red Dawn. The story in the movie is different but the main plot is the same. Soviets invading America. The movie takes place in a fictional scenario in 1984 in the town Calumet in Colorado while this game takes place in a fictional scenario in New York in 2003. Go see the movie if you want to.

@Willdog31 there is something similar "red dawn" if you haven't seen it :) its about the russians invading USA and a group of people "the wolverines" band together to drive out the russians...i strongly believe this game got its inspiration from that movie, the movie came out in 1984 :)

This game was awsome. Love the atmosphere. Though in the current political crises, unfortunately I doubt the makers can comfortably make any more sequels.

Also it was quite unrealistic how much stronger the resistance forces were. In real life they'd stand no chance fighting in conventional conflict like that without dirty tactics. But the whole invasion thing/atmosphere was unmatched. First game I played on PS2.

They don't actually win the war. They just manage to drive them out of the state temporarily.

Also, believe it or not guerilla tactics can take out large numbers of enemies if done right, even if they our-arm you.
