@ChristianToker It basically allows you to use 35mm lenses with video cameras that have fixed lenses, which most of them do. The lens on the front of the adapter projects an image onto a piece of ground glass, and then the camera records the image off that ground glass. The benefit of using 35m lenses is that you can get shallow depth of field, focal legnths that you couldn't with any screw on lens, and a whole different look, basically a film look.
