Instead of relying on western media. One of the major things that won the allies the war was Air superioity. Not 6 soldiers. Problem with this series is that it doesn't portrait the reality of war. You see the same group of men survive but you see too little of the casualties they took.I can imagine a young American watching the series and wanting to join the army.
what the fuck are you talking about? by sticking with the same group of men, you become attached to them just like their friends serving with them and when many died in the series, its shocks the audiences just like the friends of the fallen soldiers. for example, during the episodes about the battle of the bulge, i remember malarky loosing 2 of his best friends during a shelling. painful stuff
The video is well done, just at the beginning would have 2 songs you can take instead of a Battlefield for so long "to run." Get from me 5 * for the good video.

In American war films it always seems like there is a way out, an escape but in reality there sometimes is no escape for a unit as large as a division and there is 2 options, become a pow or fight to the death.I never saw that back in this series.

I agree that also many americans died and the movie is well made there are just some scenes that are ridiculous for example when the germans flee from this village but all get shot by a single machine gun just put on top of a box without fixing it in any way... but I guess its alright its a movie
@arrdvark3 I agree they were well trained but the most well trained? at the beginning they had hardly any fighting experience but at the same time the best remaining german troops were fighting east...

Or the scene from crossroads where a squad of Americans ambush a German unit in an open field and the Germans run right in front of them and have no perimeter defence for atleast 2 companies of wehrmacht. BS!

also, these guys were the most well-trained company in the war, so i would hope they were portrayed as superior soldiers.

Easy Company had 150% casualties. i think the enemy was protrayed really well trained in the band of brothers series.

but some scenes are very unrealistic and like most of american war movies the americans are the superior brave heros...and the enemys are little pussy, who shoot, are scared have tanks but cant win against just american infantry LOL

Problem with this series is that it doesn't portrait the reality of war. You see the same group of men survive but you see too little of the casualties they took.I can imagine a young American watching the series and wanting to join the army.

what the fuck are you talking about? by sticking with the same group of men, you become attached to them just like their friends serving with them and when many died in the series, its shocks the audiences just like the friends of the fallen soldiers. for example, during the episodes about the battle of the bulge, i remember malarky loosing 2 of his best friends during a shelling. painful stuff
