Instead of letting the banks destroy society society could destroy the banks. If you are wealthy take out all your money bit by bit to invest in people struggling because of the recession: buy a repossessed house & rent it back to the person who was going to lose it & sell it back to him when he is back on his feet; come up with a business idea for an unemployed person & invest obviously not too much at first as this is more risky than the house but could also give a better return than the bank
