  • Really Nice But What Brushes Did U Use To Color It?? :P

  • @FrozyFox default

  • can i ask you a question? about the lineart, what you did to make it looks thinier? the step rights after erasing some lineart, i think i missed it. thanks in advance, i really love the way you drawing XD

    ps:sorry for the bad english

  • @bellaaffa I don't understand what you're trying to ask. If you want to draw thinner line art, use a bigger canvas so your lines will appear thinner after you resize it to web viewing sizes.

  • I SUPPORT CARCIPHONA!!!!

  • SUBSCRIBED.

    So beautiful! :O

  • Hi!! I simply love your style, you're very good! :) Can i ask you something? How do you make the lineart so fine and delicate? My lineart is always very "heavy" and marked. :/ I don't understand what steps you are doing... Thank you! :)

  • @SaReTTa86 use a smaller brush and a bigger canvas (:

  • @shilinTV Oh!! :O I thought you were using some tool to make opaque the lineart!! :) Thank you so much for your advice, I'll try! :D

  • I'd like a wallpaper of that. :3

Amazing work, it's also quite amazing to see you draw the lineart neatly without trouble. I hope I can meet up to your level one day. xD

  • one question, do u have a super computer ? :P cuz when I have like 5000*3000 pixels at 300 DPI, it gets lags and slow computing, when I do certain things.. like erase or whatever, u don't experience that stuff ? Don't know what to do, like my computer is pretty good, a laptop, but still pretty good, guess I have to buy a new one.

  • @mickehill desktops are always better than laptops of the same specs, and generally a lot less expensive. I've always used a desktop so although it's a pretty shitty computer by now, it still does what I need. just build a desktop that has lots of ram, a good cpu and video card (:

  • @shilinTV I have like turbo boost on my i5 quadro processor, which can give up to about 2,90 GHz, and 4 GB RAM, and Radeon HD 5730 graphics card, so pretty good, but it still feels insufficient for these drawings with greater DPI. It seems kinda weird to me. Thanks for answer btw =)

  • oh wow, you are so amazing.

  • What's the original size of the image? And what brush size do you use to lineart. Do you use the airbrush (soft edged brush) in photoshop for almost everything?

  • @Ju1c3azncafe original size is listed in description. I use a hard edged brush for almost everything.

  • @shilinTV Thanks! Sorry about that, I always seem to skip over what I'm looking for.

  • i love how every last detail means something to you

  • Oh, almost forgot: this is an incredibly gorgeous work. :)

  • Did you do most of the color on one layer?

  • @MissPoplarLeaf yes, I do most of my colouring on one layer unless it's something that I think I might have trouble with.

  • I noticed you often use italian terms for names or titles etc..do you like italy? :)

  • @KonanByAkatsuki They're mostly from music since I studied that in university XD

  • @shilinTV I see xD well, keep the SUPERAWESOME work!!! *A* love ya!!

  • Did you blend the colors with just the brush or did you use a blending tool?

And what brush did you use?

  • @arconith I blended (and basically did everything) with a brush. I used the solid and airbrush from photoshop's default set.

  • woooooooooooooow pero que buen dibujo, espectacular.

  • i can't find the finish image anywhere

    >:

    /blind

  • @RidleyOh It's not posted anywhere; I wrote in the description that it's being withheld for artbook purposes (:

  • @shilinTV Then i must buy your art book D8 !

OTL;; Well, when you're finished with it.

    /sits & waits.

  • I'm jealous... T-T My software broke so now I have to go spend a buttload of money to by anything better than coral painter.

I wish i could draw this good! My pics are rather... simple. (less detailed I guess) Anyway you rock. I love you're pictures and i look forward to more!!!!

  • @ShizukaAkuma Why not download something from the internet? Also, isn't Corel Painter a good software?

  • So when does Carciphona get to the point that we see this version of Vel anyway? Because that is a VERY pretty piccy ^_^

  • Just curious why you paint in photoshop rather than sai? as I've noticed you've started doing the lineart in sai but then switch to ps to paint.

Or are you just used to painting in PS?

  • @snubaby I'm used to painting in PS and I don't like the way SAI blends colours.

  • This is so pretty! :) Can I try drawing this photo of you'res?

  • @PiggieLena333 you can for practicing purposes, but please refrain from posting it online or using it to represent your own work.

  • @shilinTV Thank you! I'm not going to put it online, i'm just seeing if I can draw this. . . I probaly can't. . . . Well I really like all of you're drawings! I hope to see more! :D

  • You should sometimes keep livestream chats in these videos xD as they get pretty weird time to time

  • I would say that you were inspired by Bach's Toccata for this, but it almost seems darker compared to the layout of the piece, like Phantom of the Opera darker.

I'm constantly amazed by how well an eye you have for color and depth, how much emotion you can take from each picture that you draw, and now seeing the process, however speeded-up, gives me a bit more of an appreciation for how long it takes to make something like this. Excellent work, and good hopes for the future.

  • @Korethi Thank you! I wasn't inspired by any toccata in particular; the title is actually the title for my artbook since this will be the cover image. I felt that the toccata's form (or lack of), origin (baroque? renaissance?) and focus (on virtuosity etc rather than emotion) pretty much sums up my art most of the time, so I decided to name it that :D My favourite toccata is Ravel's from his Tombeau de Couperin; maybe you can see it better in this drawing instead of Bach's.

  • @shilinTV However the toccata [born of Renaissance, journeyed to Baroque, if my information is correct] focused on virtuosity and its lack of form, what you do seems, to me, to focus on both emotion and technique [even if you do not focus on the emotion of it], and each tells me a story, sometimes uplifting and sometimes a little more depressive. After listening to the toccata multiple times, I would think that Veloce herself would be the toccata to the universe that you're making.

  • OMG <3 O.O

  • this is so beautiful..

  • Oh my goodness, I watched both parts start to finish, this piece is absolutely stunning! You have unbelievable talent, your painting style is absolutely goregous. Brilliant work! <3
