I am British and consider myself fairly liberal but I subscribe to Fox News on Sky specifically to get a right wing perspective on American politics. I always see hundreds of american comments on online news sites such as the BBC or the Dailymail. Apparently they because there is unbiased here, but that's total nonsense. The BBC is the Government's plaything.

Anyway Americans come over to British TV because its slightly more about the news less about the presenter. There is also the charming stereotype that us brits are intelligent. Every network has its bias but FOX is special not just because of its obvious bias, but because they have a proven trackrecord of deliberately distorting and sometimes even lying about the facts. As one example, during the recent protests in Wisconsin, FOX tried to smear the protesters by showing clips of protesters being confrontational from a completely unrelated labour protest in California. This does happen at any other news network.
if you take any news broadcast and take it out of context you can mock it just like brookers done to fox news. which is , after all, an exelent tv news station.

That's why I choose not to read it and will look to The Guardian, or the BBC instead. We do have our own "versions" of these people. At least they are watered down, because if they weren't... Anyway Americans come over to British TV because its slightly more about the news less about the presenter. There is also the charming stereotype that us brits are intelligent. We certainly respect Intelligence more than our American counterparts but I don't think we necessarily are. Our Media is a mess but ultimately there are many views or many different flavours of a single view. American news is utterly biased.

Every network has its bias but FOX is special not just because of its obvious bias, but because they have a proven trackrecord of deliberately distorting and sometimes even lying about the facts. As one example, during the recent protests in Wisconsin, FOX tried to smear the protesters by showing clips of protesters being confrontational from a completely unrelated labour protest in California. This does happen at any other news network.

Glenn Beck managed to rake in the money by pandering on the fears of a certain audience. The fact that people actually listen to him and believe what he's saying is either correct or factual baffles me beyond belief. That's why I choose not to read it and will look to The Guardian, or the BBC instead. We do have our own "versions" of these people. At least they are watered down, because if they weren't... He's saying that the majority of US media portrays you as ignorant buffoons as well as their total disregard for their viewers and insulting their intelligence. He's being sympathetic in a satirical way. After all, all they're after is ratings and sensationalism is the predominant way of getting attention. So the more dumb the show is, the more people will watch. The same happens here in the UK.
