Empathic mimicry should have been counterbalanced by a drawback at least, as space-time manipulation. Those abilities are too powerful and for me they ruined the series. In a roleplaying game, that kind of characters would have been a real pain to direct...The same thing happened in the show.
you forgot telekenisis. i loved this show, but my GOD there were so many plots holes and it was like a different show from season to season. like the previous season didn't happen when campared to the next...aside from the first 2 that is.

this isnt all his powers,he still has..telekinesis,earth bending,and also sylars thirst for power,also the reason he cant copy the hasions powers, is because the hasion turns off powers!! so his powers of mimicry cant function :Obut still plus you cant say he has those powers anymore,because he lost them to his father :O and he took that adrenaline shot and now he can only take in one power at a time :O,it may have been op but i liked his normal powers,damn peters father >:O

This fucking show was epic in season 1. They began fucking it up in season 2. Claire should have died. Only Peter, Sylar, mohinder, nathan and hiro, the guy with the glasses should have been the main cast.
when peter lost his powers (empathic power mimicry) and got that lame power (ability replication) he could just ask hiro to take him back in time and take his original power back, then go back to the present and stay that way..... right?

i think the theory is that he may be able to hold over more than one ability but he hasn't controlled it yet because his future self, and many times has the future changed, always had multiple abilities and the scar. and you forgot super strength, mind reading, and the ability that one chick had in season one where she tells people what to do and they do it.

Also Peter was never around Eden McCain to have her persuasion ability, and wouldn't have gotten it from Sylar since Eden blew her own brain out before he could take her ability. But yes there are still many abilities missing from this, both from Sylar and from others. I like to think that he was on the path to becoming Future Peter with multiple abilities even at the end of season 4, after the writers ruined the show in early season 3.

didn't peter get a whole load of abilities from almost everyone that has one? i mean when they are just near him he copies their abilities. i believe he had the abilities of niki, nathan, arthur, angela, d.l. hawkins, claire, hiro, mat, sylar (who has too many to count), elle's, the haitian's... damn it. it would be a way but i don't think so...remember that Peter can't control the hunger that comes with Sylar's ability, he even almost killed Future Nathan and Angela. There's no way he would take that power again. The logical way would be for his ability to evolve or, following my idea, he still has his power but he can't fully access it cause his empathy his closed so he has to forgive everyone and himself for all the bad things done. and i think he's close to that as he even forgive Sylar.
well i guess he could teach Peter...but Sylar can control it now after living with it for many years and killing many people. Probably even with Sylar's help he wouldn't resist the thirst of knowledge and kill some. Although i agree with you that would also change a bit his part on the show, Peter is supossed to be the Empath...so he has to regain his full power again.

well theres also the fact that parkman can also create illusions beside reading minds and also mind control...and in one episode dafnee told hiro that he couldnt stop time COMPLETELY so if he gets stronger he will be able to do so and in the most recent episode sylar got someones power but did not kill them and sory for the spoiler lol
it names is empathy in first place, and he lost the the multiempathy thanks to arthur, now he just can hold one ability, but the peter of the future can do anything about it cus he dont know anything, he changes everything with the butterfly effect dude, he never know about he loose he powers in the past
They left out Angela's ability to see visions of the future in dreams. Althougn the dreams are confusing and up for interpretaion. He also had telekenisis from sylar.
the most fucked up thing here is that when peter has sylars powers, i thought the hunger thing still would play a role- they just forget what they did in previous seasons. Besides peter could go off and start killing people. I believe if they made peter the bad guy for atleast a 5 episodes (short arc) and all the others have to stop them would make a good story(with peter having sylars abilities)
Sylar could still just mimic other people's abilities instead of cutting their head open and inspect their brain, like he does. In theory, if Sylar learned empathic mimicry from Peter, Sylar wouldn't be killing all those people.
If Arthur didn't steal Peter's powers, Peter would've become too powerful when he learned everyone's powers, which the producers did change. Before Arthur stole his powers, Peter was simply Sylar, just let out the murder and hunger part.
that's unlikely , If you see peter's new power technically is his only power and real power . Besides Tim kring stated that they removed his power, because they believed that would make him to powerful as peter is learning to use his head more that brawls

Once peter understands how to stock more than one ability since he has empathy then sylar is over. The thing is peter never had control on his empathy since it is his ability! Once he does like everybody else and learns how to control it then sylar will have to comply .

I'm not a nerd but i'm logical and Peter can now only Absorb ONE ability at time. He mimicked Sylar's Shape Shifting and after that he absorbed enhanced strenght and super speed.
Peter's original ability was power mimicry not empathic mimicry he got that from Sylar but thanks to his dad taking his abilities he had to start all ova and when he touched Sylar he got all of the abilities Sylar had but I am sure somthimg extrodinry will happen in season 5!!!
Sylar's ability is Intuitive Aptitude, but he can also obtain abilities by making en emotional connection with the person with the ability. It's different from Peter's original ability as Peter didn't have to concentrate or make an emotional connection to take the power. He just had to be by them.
ok, these are the abilities peter had: Precognitive dreaming, flight, precognition, space-time manipulation, rapid cell regenration, tlepathy, invisibility, telekinesis, induced radioactivity, enhanced strength, phasing, electric manipulation, pyrokinesis, intuitive aptitude, and superspeed, alomng with his new power: freezing, and shape shifting.

When he touched sylar he should have gotten alot of powers, but i like the weird twist even though Peter can never have power. !st season he was the bomb, 2nd season he lost his memory, part of 3rd, he was evil, and other part he lost them only to gain a power to use only on power

didn't peter get a whole load of abilities from almost everyone that has one? i mean when they are just near him he copies their abilities. i believe he had the abilities of niki, nathan, arthur, angela, d.l. hawkins, claire, hiro, mat, sylar (who has too many to count), elle's, the haitian's... damn it. I lost count. they are too many. And then they were just lost. an even more powerful guy took them. His dad. It's a fucked up mess

Ah...the memories. well don't worry, in the final volume he HAS to gain the scar and recover his full power. Just needs to open his heart again...maybe Emma will be the one to do it as they seem pretty close...well, the third love may be the charm. Hope they don't kill her like Simone or forget her somewhere in time like Caitlin

yeah and also back in season 3 when Future peter told present peter that he needed sylars power. cause thats the only option i could see atm for peter to have multiple abilities again

it would be a way but i don't think so...remember that Peter can't control the hunger that comes with Sylar's ability, he even almost killed Future Nathan and Angela. There's no way he would take that power again. The logical way would be for his ability to evolve or, following my idea, he still has his power but he can't fully access it cause his empathy his closed so he has to forgive everyone and himself for all the bad things done. and i think he's close to that as he even forgive Sylar.

well i guess he could teach Peter...but Sylar can control it now after living with it for many years and killing many people. Probably even with Sylar's help he wouldn't resist the thirst of knowledge and kill some. Although i agree with you that would also change a bit his part on the show, Peter is supossed to be the Empath...so he has to regain his full power again.

well theres also the fact that parkman can also create illusions beside reading minds and also mind control...and in one episode dafnee told hiro that he couldnt stop time COMPLETELY so if he gets stronger he will be able to do so and in the most recent episode sylar got someones power but did not kill them and sory for the spoiler lol

Peter can collect as many powers as he likes but he HAS to REPLICATE them in order to keep them. Also he can ONLY use 1 power at a time.

They left out Angela's ability to see visions of the future in dreams. Althougn the dreams are confusing and up for interpretaion. He also had telekenisis from sylar.

the most fucked up thing here is that when peter has sylars powers, i thought the hunger thing still would play a role- they just forget what they did in previous seasons. Besides peter could go off and start killing people. I believe if they made peter the bad guy for atleast a 5 episodes (short arc) and all the others have to stop them would make a good story(with peter having sylars abilities)

Sylar could still just mimic other people's abilities instead of cutting their head open and inspect their brain, like he does. In theory, if Sylar learned empathic mimicry from Peter, Sylar wouldn't be killing all those people.
If Arthur didn't steal Peter's powers, Peter would've become too powerful when he learned everyone's powers, which the producers did change. Before Arthur stole his powers, Peter was simply Sylar, just let out the murder and hunger part.

that's unlikely , If you see peter's new power technically is his only power and real power . Besides Tim kring stated that they removed his power, because they believed that would make him to powerful as peter is learning to use his head more that brawls

Once peter understands how to stock more than one ability since he has empathy then sylar is over. The thing is peter never had control on his empathy since it is his ability! Once he does like everybody else and learns how to control it then sylar will have to comply .

Help a brother out im so confused :S did he just get the shape shifting power because he says "Bet you didnt think i took that 1 from you" OR does he got sylars origanil power the empathy power i think its called or that?? but i think he only gots shape shifting because of the cut is still on his right eye and if he had all sylars abilities it would have healed or mayb it has healed but its just blood he didnt wipe off... but who noes? i need a nerd to answer this one for me thanks ;) x

I'm not a nerd but i'm logical and Peter can now only Absorb ONE ability at time. He mimicked Sylar's Shape Shifting and after that he absorbed enhanced strenght and super speed.

Peter's original ability was power mimicry not empathic mimicry he got that from Sylar but thanks to his dad taking his abilities he had to start all ova and when he touched Sylar he got all of the abilities Sylar had but I am sure somthimg extrodinry will happen in season 5!!!

Peter's original ability was emphatic mimicry.
Sylar's ability is Intuitive Aptitude, but he can also obtain abilities by making en emotional connection with the person with the ability. It's different from Peter's original ability as Peter didn't have to concentrate or make an emotional connection to take the power. He just had to be by them.

ok, these are the abilities peter had: Precognitive dreaming, flight, precognition, space-time manipulation, rapid cell regenration, tlepathy, invisibility, telekinesis, induced radioactivity, enhanced strength, phasing, electric manipulation, pyrokinesis, intuitive aptitude, and superspeed, alomng with his new power: freezing, and shape shifting.
