I ended up being a breeder not on purpose though. I didn't know that I purchased a female (I bought her pregnant) she gave birth to 10 fry and 3 survived. She gave birth again to about 13 fry and 9 of those survived

@abpokemon Yes it is normal for them to breed everyday. What I noticed is that the higher the tempature the more active they get . If the tempature reaches around 57 to 67 degrees they are less active in breeding.

@Popstarox100 females will have less color on fins and body you will see females with color on the tail but not the fancy tail females will have a dark spot meaning they are pregnan and are also larger than males. Males will be more colorful small and have a much fancy tail

@AnimalGirl328 With livebears such as guppies and mollies you dont have to worry about the water tempature like the eggs layers. With guppies they will breed/mate with a female no matter the tempature. Just add one or two males with 1 or 2, 3 females and you will see that it will not take llong for the male to mate with them.

@aqwfan123 I did not see any biting all I saw was a male trying or did but you have watch very close mating with the female. The black spot is know as the gravid spot and those black spots are the fry. livebears like the guppies stick there sword up the females butt to get them pregnant .That's how the mate/breed

@laister20 they mate after one month of being born i use to no very little about guppies and thought i would never be able to get them to mate over the past year ive learned so much so if you need anytips let me no p.s put in live plants and do partial water changes every 2 weeks to stimulate breading i always let my fish give birth in tank and left babies in tank just try to get some floating plants or even tear of leaves and keep your fish fed and they wont bother baies at all

@AYEEEpowlow Once her black spot is gone that means she had the babies.Check the entire tank from the sides of the tank some like to hide under gravel of the sides of the tank. Check your filter box under and iside, remove or check between your plants or oraments or caves that you may have. Try the corners of the tank. If in 1 or 2 weeks she does not get that spot that means she needs to breed again with a male.

I would get another male. Even though your male died but breed with your female those male babies that se will have wil look like the male she breed with.

but the oldest male i had were about 6 close to 7 and female is 4 yrs.

when you breed guppies, besure to add in aquarium salt into the tank to prevent from dieases and stress and it makes pregnancy seem better for the fish. after the female had given birth move her from your breeding tank and invest in a small 2 gal tank and have her seprated from the males for a few weeks so that when you put her back in she wone get re-rape lol

With me If I want a certain strain from a certain male I put the female alone in your tank and not with other male guppies. Thank you for comment and advice.
