You also also ring the police, if you can. They will know what has gone on and help you. The police do advise the public to get involved, as they can't be everywhere. The also say you should call them as soon as possible.

We need to educate parents before we educate children, any child who is involved in school bullying should get a counseling along with his/her parents and a anger management course with community service on first instance and repeat offenders should be stripped of all the benefits and should be sentenced. Children with violent history are mostly from broken or abusive families. I can understand how parents of this must be feeling after seeing this video.

Im so close to smashing my computer screen because of how angry I got when I saw this, I myself a 14 year old boy have never ever laid a finger on a girl, but if I saw that innocent girl getting beaten by that bitch for no reason what so ever, I would not hesitate to physically restrain her by any means necessary, this is the type of stuff that makes me sick, seeing someone getting thrashed for no reason is something that really pushes my buttons.

@NZSkater196 That is great. By doing that, you are acting as a "good samariton". Police say that you should also get backup from adults, if they are around, so that you do not endanger yourself.
You also also ring the police, if you can. They will know what has gone on and help you. The police do advise the public to get involved, as they can't be everywhere. The also say you should call them as soon as possible.

We need to educate parents before we educate children, any child who is involved in school bullying should get a counseling along with his/her parents and a anger management course with community service on first instance and repeat offenders should be stripped of all the benefits and should be sentenced. Children with violent history are mostly from broken or abusive families. I can understand how parents of this must be feeling after seeing this video.

@rajamohan07 Interesting comment. What you say seems to be the exact approach of the Government. I do understand that Government can call on vast numbers of experts and the NZ Education Dept. has spend NZ$ 60,000,000 on stopping bullying.
I do think the schools are responsible also. It seems easier to train the teachers as they cope with many children, rather than the parents, who are not really specialists in this area. Do you not think so?

@SupBA Up-to certain limit Teachers can Handle situation but as parents i think we have a better control over children and from beginning if we teach our Children before even they go to school to respect other people and property, i think up to an level we will be able to control this whole situation.
In my opinion Parents are the one who pass on their habits and moral to children which helps them to grow and become responsible citizens or the Bullies(criminal later on).

@rajamohan07 The problem is that most parents do not know how to handle bullying situations. Neither do the children. It is not the parents' job to ensure safety at the school. Parents can be given advice from the school, but they really do not have much input in this situation. To my mind, most of the onus is on the school, and it should have strong support from the Government.

I'm from the states & worked for public schools in So Cal for 30yrs in the Counseling/Discipline offices. Where was the school security? Especially after the administrators knew about it! This attacker may nvr be "cured" from this type of behavior. Sick. Sad. But what really bothers me is what kind of kid filmed the thing instead of running to help? @Patutahora1 - Yeah the Police are/were involved - the attacker has been dealt with via the youth court. Quoting the Wangunia Herald "The girl was arrested and appeared in the Wanganui Youth Court" - so there goes another wet bus ticket being issued... I'm thinking we may well hear from this girl again in a few years... in another headline.
