I hate this kind of interview. It's complete BS.....We're all human and regardless of our experiences we're bound to mess up somewhere and not be perfect.. No boss or any leader is perfect........those questions put you in a box and NO you don't have time to think through your answers.......at least I didn't.
i just went through an interview of this type and crashed and burned, for the most part. A few weeks later, the hiring manager called me into his office and gave me feedback on how I performed in the interview and highlighted most of what you have talked about in this vid you posted. This vid just reinforced what my hiring manager conveyed to me regarding behavioral interviews. thanks.
Yeah Peggy I Have a Unrelated Question. Why is it that Sales People who have worked their way to the top have that look in their eye? In other words. Sales makes you say the same thing over and over and over. Correct?
Wow, this lady is loooong winded. I've been to A LOT of interviews and these are good tips. But in the REAL WORLD, the better you BS, the better you do at the interview. If you're a good lier, you'll do good at interviews.
@sebs30v Really that is not true. In fact one of the reasons the Behavioral Based Interview is so popular is that it is difficult to fabricate a response. These questions go deeper and expose liars.
Thank you so much, this is absolutely excellent and is a definite must see for grads. I hear your video and I feel so much more confident now and I was compelled to express my thanks.
"There are thousands of interview questions on the internet...think through a lot of these questions and be prepared to answer them". Okay, I'll stop my life as I know it and study 3000 interview questions hoping that the interviewer asks the ones I've memorized. This is advice meant to engender fear and puddles of perspiration, not confidence.
Well the internet research is just a tool to help you implement your own experiences. Almost every type of behavioral interviewer will ask these basic questions; Why should we hire you? What are your strengths & weaknesses? How do you handle conflict with co-worker or customers? Name a time where you had to handle a difficult task, what was the result and outcome? I beleive the advice is good advice, do your research and know your skills and you will do great! Good Luck!
Great material, thank you Peggy. After watching a few of you videos with tips about interview I am more confident for tomorrow's interview. Many thanks
Behaviorial Interviews for accounts. Behaviorial interviews look for content, self management, communication and the ability to deal with others and adversity. Questions might be hypothetical (what if ?)
Interview Tip: use a 30/60/90 day sales plan to get the job offer. If you are interviewing for a sales job - the 30-60-90 day sales plan will help the hiring manager see you in the position!

@sebs30v Maybe the reason you've been to so many interviews is because nobody wants to hire a liar, lol. I'm sorry, but your advice stinks.
