My school is doing this production this year. The funny thing is that my school has been trying to do this musical for years, but we live in a very conservative community so we have never been able to do it. After convincing the council we were allowed to do it. Everyone is pretty pumped a) to put on a great show that has been written extremely well and b) to prove a point to our community.

shitty singer, bad dance moves, that song is very... idk, but u can't just sing this song that softly... love ur acting, stage managing and lighting, the other things are just, well.... crap :/

1) your really really flat at times

2) stop flailing your arms, you dont do it in real life dont do it on stage

3) stop shifting your weight

4) stop leaning

5) please get voice lessons, who ever this is has alot of potential. u just need help cleaning it.

this director also needs to work on the background people. some are quite good though

It's not him who messed up the lyrics. When schools perform Broadway musicals, they need to change the lyrics to avoid being sued.

I'm not sure which version of the play you used, but I think you did the same as my school is doing. ^^ There's great choreography in this number, and I love the acting.

"Air! I need air!" is just hilarious. ^^ Despite Ren messing up his first verse, the vocals are alright. ^^

I liked it...I even did the show professional for a long time, and this is pretty great for a high school production. I don't think our high school would've pulled off 5 guys doing russians in unison, or the push-up worm thing upstage, and a bunch of us are professional performers now. Good job to this cast!!!

I'll say something nice: You had a lot of guts to perform it this way. If you want to see it done the right way go to the Brockport High School's production of it on Thursday, Nov. 13. The tickets will sell at the door, but they're cheap. I would bring those actors with me so they can see the real way it's done. Good job though! It does take a lot to go up and perform.

Hopefully you will go and see it. All of our performances every year are outstanding compared to most others.

I'm not quite sure this kind of "Ren" really understood the text. He actually doesn't know what and why he' singing. That's not about fun, that is about facing a whole town with its habits and with its narrow-mindedness.

This Ren is crappy! He has barely any emotion, his singing and phrasing is very choppy and unsmooth and he's gotta learn how to connect his phrasing. And he was out of tune a few times as well. At least he has the range, but with some more training and him discovering his voice more, and even discovers himself, he could become pretty good. But on this, it sounds like a struggle when he sings.

Almost all company numbers are slowed down and it is not pleasing to the ears. Choreography is great. But for the group as a whole, you all need to practice diaphragmatic breathing. Ren needs to learn to speak. At points when he sings, I don't know if he is trying to have an accent or what. Reverend was good up until the end, where his long notes got a bit off. Overall - Reverend is great. Set design and Costumes are excellent.

the choreography is what you'd see during a cheerleading routine, not at all during a musical production.

Ren is very sexy, but isn't a natural performer and his voice isn't the strongest sadly, especially when he dances. Choreography is awful. For a 'school' show it's not bad though, but you should invest in some click tracks for when you dance!
