All these years later, this song is as magical as it was when I first heard it at 13. My greatest moment is "Me and my magic man kinda feelin' finenenenenenenenenenen!" Stellar.
All opinions welcome, even those I don't agree with...
I guess music that requires imagination and intelligent thought is "crap" to you... that's kinda sad. Punk had nothing to do with this in 1972... it was an answer to commercial rock, disco and bloated 70's dinosaur bands.
Why do you think the punk scene was so brief? The music and lyrics were crap. Some post-punk bands were incredible, like Joy Division, but they had great lyrics too, so maybe not your thing.
@clayopalstar "all opinions are welcome" -- Thank you! I have like 500+ videos and I have NEVER removed a comment or challenged anyone's right to freely express.
@anothercountyheard You can only laugh with comments like these.. Not explain, not argue, just laugh. Ignorance reigns among people. Only you can realise that it is not just about "different" opinion and its just about ignorance and bad taste!
@anothercountyheard I am not one to complain, but many people have their Taste. After all, one person's crap is another's Treasure. To my ear, very few Punk Groups ever really got me and Progressive Rock is King in music (Classical came in close second). I guess I could say eventually, Comparing Punk and Progressive Rock is like comparing a Stone to a human.
@yugoroth1 ever heard of the Clash? from punk to hip-hop and dub in 3 years; that's progress. Or Talking Heads from Psycho Killer to Once in a lifetime in 3 years; that's progress. Good progressive rock (70s); King Crimson, Roxy Music, Can, Neu, Faust, Tangerine Dream, David Bowie, Queen, ELO, Pink Floyd...
I used to lay in bed in my bedroom when I was about 14 listening to this LP, it was my favorite! Finally saw them a few times over the years and they never disappointed!
Best LP ever!! And the loudest band I ever saw! Bloodrock opened a concert I went to in Pittsburgh PA (got booed off the stage because they had some kind of epiffany and "no longer play DOA or songs in the vain"...). Heep came out and blew the place away - Pittsburgh 1976 if I remember right. Things are a bit fuzzy from that time period...LOL... First song Heep did was Sweet Loraine and the keyboard hit those two notes - and I thought my head was going to split open...LOL...!

My car was repoed.
I caught a bus after work to get home.
When I got on.
My fiance, soon to be wife was on that bus.
Late at night, we met again like strangers.
With nothing. It was just us. She sat across from me. The looks and the sounds, the anticipation. And the bus stopped.

the only metal song above Zep's "Stairway..." that's fully acoustic as contested by/according to fans of Uriah Heep; song's as old as i am, hehehe...

HILARIOUS! Funnier than Spinal Tap. This is why PUNK was born, in reaction to this kinda , well, crap. Roger Dean was the best thing about the Heap.

You've credited Gary Thain on bass. Actually, it's Mark Clarke who plays bass on this track, though Thain plays on all other songs on the album.
