Anyone living in planet earth, and being my age, loves Tom Hanks exactly because of that scene in that particular movie. Before hollywood would say he was that great, we, kids of that time already knew Tom Hanks was the coolest, just by seeing him taping that piano on Big.

DAMN IT!!! I came here from the Joe Versus The Volcano "come go with me dance". I was hoping they were going to bust into a tap dance version of his raft jig. Heart and soul is the perfect lead in to that song....let down. Big let down. Thanks SAVION.

That's a tasteless, uncultured remark. This is (more than you can comprehend) a piece of history for everyone involved in and witnessed to this performance. It's not flashy, but a meaningful soft shoe that Tom Hanks and everyone there obviously enjoyed. Don't think they share your sentiments.

I met Savion when he came to meet the kids at my high school for the arts. He's a really really nice man. He has such joy for life. I especially like his work in Happy Feet :)

You have mentioned THE GREATS for sure. In their lifetimes, Gregory Hines and Sammy Davis, Jr., both conceded that Savion, even as young as he was then, was unsurpassed. Hines gave a terrific interview on "60 Minutes" about Savion in which he said that 'Savion does all that he (Hines) can do, but at Mach speed' which a great compliment for a dancer.
