I know I'm usually very supportive of the series, but this movie was shit. With the exception of the Robot Insane Asylum, this was shit. Well, I do like the "Swamp Hag." :P Also, the Fry/Gollum QVC bit made me crack up the first time I watched it. But the rest sucked the big one.

Here's my final tally: Beast of a Billion Backs is the best; Bender's Big Score and Wild Green Yonder are tied, and Bender's Game was the worst. New Futuramas w/o original cast: Utter shiteola. Abandon ship!

Eh your being a bit of a pessimist don't you think? The whole voice casting thing is ploy Fox has used before to try and scare voice actors for the Simpsons into accepting less. Also after Groening and Cohen fought so hard to bring the show back I doubt they'd sit back and let Fox suck the life out of it. They always refused to allow them creative control. They'll come to some deal eventually.

Oh and Into the Wild Green Yonder is the best!

I agree with you on the Beast With a Billion Backs being the best. God, there are only what, 4 other people with the same opinion? Seriously, why does everyone hate that one so much? As for the rest, this was my third favorite. Bender's Big Score was my second fav, and Into The Wild Green Yonder being the last, mostly because I hardly remember it because i watched it at 1 in the morning. I bet if I watch it again, it'll replace Bender's Big Score.

Um...I did watch & read Lord of the Rings, not to mention various parodies (including Bored of the Rings. Recommended reading). Still isn't that great. Plus, you pretty much see the twist ending coming from at least half a mile away. I won't ruin it for those who haven't watched, but you'll know what it is before too long.

I will say I might have overreacted calling it shit. At the very least, I was highly dissappointed. Still 4th on my list.

@chloefr Given a couple years, I guess it's okay in retrospect. They do offer enough quality writing to make it worth the purchase/view on Netflix/etc., but it's still the weakest one.

And for the record, I love the new episodes. It took them a little time to start the engine up again, but we've gotten instant classics in ones like "The Late Phillip J. Fry" and "The Prisoner of Benda." Yay for the original voice cast being on board, btw.

TBWABB isn't as good as BBS, but I find the more I watch it, the more I like it. I think going with a fantasy theme for BG is a touch of genius, and will make for a very memorable film.
