@cocobearbear the spring drive uses a glide wheel rather than a balance wheel so its moves very smoothly too bad its half quartz lol

@UltraViolence14 "half-quartz" is like having a handicaped dog that can't walk and you have to drag it with the leash. automated is like you have the dog without the leash, so it runs wherever it feels like. the quartz in spring drive movement is a leash on a healthy dog: it keeps it "in place". because that's what the quartz does here, it doesn't allow the mecanism to run too fast or too slow.

@LeapstoneFever oh really i had no idea!! its not like im a horologist for seiko or anything!!!! the quartz oscillator vibrates at 32768hz regulating the magnetic breaking power supplied to the glide wheel making the watch acurate up to 9 seconds a yearand giving the watch a sweep seconds but i didnt know any of that seeming ive never worked on a spring drive before !!

@sebmasterflash ...in the other hand ...none of swiss watchmakers have "spring drive"... it's a very complicated enjine by it's own... so none of swiss watches have an arrow "sliding" that nice like this...

@TheMasterXXZ if the swiss would adopt the spring drive they would admit that the japanese are better. an entire industry of "swiss made" would be shaken to the core bt such move. not that seiko wouldn't like to get royalties for their ingenuity.

same thing with microsoft: they wouldn't fit x-box with a blu-ray unit because blu-ray has sony written allover it :P
