I'm not into Gawd, and imaginary men in the ether, but all music falls into two categories, inspiration and imitation; this is a fine example of the former.
No matter what music I search for on Youtube there are concerts, tributes or other peoples versions of the music of the Fab Four. This is one of the best tributes and when I look at the stage it is packed with nothing but legends in the pop/rock world, including two of the remaining Beatles. The status of John, Paul, George and Ringo is right at the top where it should be and Billy Preston does George Harrison an honour by performing such a superb version of this much loved song. Well done.
From the girl Angelica Zambrano who saw Heaven and Hell... “Because every time people sing and listen to my songs, I am tormented even more, the person who does this, who sings and listens to my songs, is walking to this place. Please, go tell them not to come here; go tell them that hell is real!“ Selena
It's sad how George fooled people into singing Hare Krishna, who is just another eastern demon. I used to pray for him that he would find the truth, it's too late now.
@tonbonthemon Those who want to hate Christians have many excuses. The Beatles hated Christianity because they did not know what it was, they mistook it for a religion which most people do, which is so unfortunate. I guess there's a little hope for Ringo though.
@thalonen Last time I checked Christianity is a religion. Followed by a bunch of dumbasses like you. You always say the bible says all the other gods (in this case krishna) are demons or some bullshit and take out a random bible verse which is retarded because the Bible is not a global textbook and it contradicts itself over 9000 times.
@tonbonthemon Christianity can be "misused" as a religion, sure. But all God wants is to have a personal relationship with us through Jesus Christ. I met God, Jesus and Holy Spirit in 1975. Jesus and I are friends, our friendship has absolutely nothing to do with religion. Holy Spirit told me that all "so called gods" outside the Bible are demons. I did not read it in any book. Holy Spirit is our teacher while Jesus is in Heaven, we can ask Him anything and He will answer, if we mean business!
@thalonen Being east Indian and being born and raised in the USA as well having been to India many times I have seen more devil Christian than anyother religion. I dont blame the Religion I blame the people. BTW,I am not counting the zealot radical Islam bastards...they are the latest scourge of people using religion for their hatred. As his Holiness Jesus Christ said...forgive them Father.for they know not.
@neilzep Only a few % of all Christian in the world, are true Christians. Most "so called" Christians don't really know God, all they worship is religion. They don't obey the commandments of Jesus Christ. He told us to heal the sick, cast out demons, tell people the Good News, and above all He commanded us to love each other. And they don't know Holy Spirit, they don't even understand that He is a person with whom they can communicate, as with any other person. Peace.

Great song until they ruin the song with the blasphemous Hare Krishna! That is what they want to do suck you in so you think they are singing about the one and only true living God-Jesus Christ! And then sneak this Devils advocate into the mix! Rubbish!

@CheriM001 The beauty of this song is that it transcends religion and dogma in favor of pure spirituality. The song can be interpreted any way you want it to, but I think it was George's attempt to unify the various faiths of the world. Personally, I think we have no way of knowing for certain what happens after we leave this plane of existence until it happens, so we should live our lives to the fullest and for the benefit of our fellow humans, not just for fear of being damned when we die.
@ikambor You are right---I am a Hindu and don't like singing to the Christian god because he is not my god so I sing around the "hallelujah" parts. I hope no one has a problem with me having a problem with that.
It is worth the time to investigate the history of George's friends at this event, and also the Bangladesh benefit. Phil Collins and Ian Anderson were not there. Dhani Harrison plays acoustic guitar throughout the concert.
This got me all the way to work on morning when I was really tired! Thanks George and Billy!
