@tomlind68 that is the most rediculous thing I have ever heard anyone say on youtube. This guy's career never REALLY died. He is the man of a thousand faces.
@FragMan69 no offense, bt the proof is all there in these videos and the album, it sounds underproduced, too theatrical, the backing singers sucked, and overall the album sound horrible, and the tour was just like it but the redeeming factor about the tour is overall just Bowie, the band (excluding the backing singers/dancers and the synth) and the songs from previous albums. Sorry, but it is just terrible.
@MrMAHBOI1:Now c´mon i liked quite a part of Bowie´s 80s releases, though i must say that he only came back to REAL form with"BLACK TIE WHITE NOISE"in 1992, arguable his later masterpiece.
The would-be-play with his security at the beginning here in front of touch with the crowd rather suggests me that he might have liked to have sublime"gangbang"with his fans...but he was already too much out of touch.
Fun aside,Bangbang is NOT his masterpiece+parts of the 80s were also NOT.
Sorry. i AM the of the same opinion as yours ! My answer was for FragMan69 ! :)))
Maybe it was a luck for him that he married Imam in 1992. His MTV weekend in1992 with him showing some favorite videos of himself +other artists was a highlight - together with the release of the almost ingenious "Black Tie White Noise" - album.
These versions HERE are really under his OWN general producing + arranging tastes !
I´d love to have met him - he seems to be one of the nicest chaps on earth.
@FragMan69 I saw this tour at Cardiff in 87 and cant emphasise how lacklustre and disappointing it was the atmosphere was non existent and the sense of disappointment was almost tangible in my top 5 of the worst gigs i have been to Thank God for the support from Big Country
"That Girl" is the lead dancer from Toni Basil's performance group. Yes, Toni Basil of "Oh Mickey" fame. She not only opened for Bowie on this tour but choreographed Glass Spider Tour for him, which is what she is MORE famous for than her "one hit"
i really liked his diamond dogs era. but the lets dance and never let me down where nice. its strange that an album with a charateristical sounds of the 80´s fall so low
@LittleMsJessiLove I think you'll hate her more if I tell you that she was Bowie's girlfriend back in those days. He was dating for 2-3 years with that lucky dancer. In the video "Time will cral" you can see she was wearing that dress or a similar one.
@innerdreamrecords haha actually it was way later the albums station to station came out in 1976 this tour supported the never let me down album which came out in 1987
@innerdreamrecords I'm kinda with you on this. My favourite Bowie period is from Young Americans to Heroes, with Station to Station and Low being my top two albums. I liked Never Let Me Down at the time, but it hasn't aged well in my opinion. From the 80's, I think Let's Dance and even Tonight was much better.
1:23 OMG!! o.o what was that movement?? It really turn me on!! *w*

Just a taste of Frampton Live; "Do you feel like we do?" Awesome show.

I just can't understand why you Bowie fans and even Bowie himself hate this album and tour so much. It's so awesome.

I liked this period of his career a lot! So many great periods but the Station to Station era was tops. This must be right after that album.
