Totally agree. Its just one more cheap propaganda film. It was a small war story. So many great ones happened around the world during different wars. I found this film very anti German, they killed a poor unarmed German soldier who had a family. Most of the Germans who were sent out to war didn't like what they were doing. If you don't believe me watch some documentaries about World War 2 where you have German veterans who were in tears when they talked about their service in the war.
I had no sympathy for those Jews freedom fighters in the film.

its based on the true story of a real-life sanctuary established by the bielski brothers which saved over 1,000 jews from persecution and death. yea, most of the events didn't take place, but the sanctuary in the woods was real.
History is told to favor those who live to tell it, not those who died because of it. So, it is no surprise there is a lot of NON- Jewish info during the Holocaust is often left out.
