  • Absolutely great video - I almost laugh out loud each time I watch it. I also have a greenwing (but not as vocal as thisone) plus a blue and gold. My youtube channel is pmac2056 and there are videos of them there.

  • Cuuuuuuuuute!

  • Awww.

  • This is an unbelievable video. He's so smart and beautiful!!!! I enjoyed watching this video over and over again. Can never get sick of it.

  • He speaks pretty well for a bird...

  • hi big boy ! very cute

  • Haha you ever ask him whos birthday it was? lol

  • *knock knock knock knock knock* HELLOOO?? <3 <3 <3

  • wait is he taking a shower with yew> O. o

  • aww<3

  • oh and id like to know where your shower perch is from too

  • This has got to be my favourite macaw video, thanks for sharing it, it never fails to make me smile! :D

  • That is so cute! Where did you get that shower perch? Or what is the name of it? I have been looking for one for my greenwing macaw but I haven't been able to find a sturdy one like that.

  • lol omg that is too cute :)

  • BIRD SONG.

    LOVELY.

  • So great. But, please do not buy a previous wild bird, that is exceedingly cruel.

  • @ssmth157 i bought a previously owned scarlet macaw ? she seems as happy as ever

  • so to own a macaw you need the time and money

  • haha .. more entertaining than listening to the radio while having a shower

  • awwwww!!!! so darling

  • soo cute

  • cody iss so cute

  • SO AMAZING AND ADORABLE AND BEAUTIFUL!

    Cheers from Linda & Geronimo

  • He's -actually- singing "Happy Bird day" so jokes on you guys.

  • Thanks to him, my friends no longer get regular 'happy birthday' sung to them...it's always the macaw version!

  • I shower with my birds too lol

  • i would like to have one, but life span of 80 years...

  • Cody is brilliant. What a character.. this video is the main reason I want one.

  • Man the size of a Greenwing's beak always blows me away. I forget just how darn massive they are proportionate to the rest of the bird's head. Compared to say, a Scarlet, or a Blue & Gold, they just seem huge. Which is not to say they're unattractive, as far as looks go, I actually think they beat a Scarlet, or even the awesome Hyacinth.

  • Best arrangement of the Happy Birthday song I've ever heard! Hands down. :D

  • its like a happy birthday remix

  • That is ADORABLE!

  • That is SOOOO cute! :)

  • LOOL, knock knock knock , Helloooooooooooooooooooooo

  • hahaha! knock knock knock knock

    helloo?

  • he is gawgous!!!!!!!!!

  • I have a special place in my heart for Greenwings. Simply awesome creatures.

  • OMG!! How sweet!!

  • Amazing, these parots are so intelegent and clever we have a macaw and he is such a great guy, im going to up load some vids of him soon.

  • before anyone gets any parrot, you should research it all, the costs of the needy cage size they need for their size, want a parrot not just for its talking ability, theres better reasons to own one, african greys are great talkers but theyre shy, usually will not talk as much in front of strangers like the Yellow head or Yellow Nape Amazons which blabber in front of just about anyone, but yes parrots are amazing <3 they all are. just love them and they'll love you back

  • i saw that bird in wow

  • WOW! is it singing in the shower? :P Love it!!!

  • Happy Birthday toooooooo

Soo adorable, also like the knock knock...hello

  • This video is AWESOME!!! I have a military macaw and you sure can tell when they are happy and well loved!!

  • greenwings are the best im waiting on chicks so i can have one as a pet ,my bonded pair are on 3 eggs hope they hatch

  • They are always refered to as the Gentle Giants and that they are. If you treat your Greenwing more as an equal than a pet you will reap many rewards from their loyalty

  • congratulations you have inspired me to seek a macaw, a red one too, ive heard they have the best voices and speaking abilities

  • The smartest and best speaking parrots are the Congo African Grey's, by far. Google it.

  • ive heard they are the best out of macaws

  • Make sure you are READY. THink of it as a kid because it'll bite you for sure so don't returned it after making the commitment & have it test your patient.

  • lol, i love how he just says "happy birthday, too..."

    happy birthday to who?! xD

  • *knok* *knok* hello

    hahaha

  • I love how he knocks on the wall and then says "hello?"! It's adorable!! He is well loved, that's for sure!

  • of all macaws i've seen talking or singing tis is da best..................

  • Cute Greenwing. I wish mine would talk more.

  • LOLOL LOL

  • HAHAHA

  • singin and sayin your a good boy..cuteeee..

  • Was he taking a shower with you??? LOL

  • LOL so cute and funny

  • hahahhaha good since of humor

  • thats wonderful what a great friendship you've got mwah

  • So funny!!!!

  • does he bite you a lot?

  • OMG! Too funny! My Harlequin macaw does the exact same thing and in the shower too. I wonder if they're related...LOL

  • he is so smart.... and talkative

  • yes

    !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Was he immitating the vaccume in the begenning? Thats so cute!

I love how clear he says "Hello" What a charmer you have there =)

  • OMG I LOVE THIS VIDEO! What a beautiful baby! SO INTELLIGENT, but aren't they all??! People never believe us bird owners, thank you for posting!!

  • I love it... You pet him & he tells himself he's a good boy. You need a stronger shower perch, my Green Cheek Conure does the same when we showr with him. He sings Ernie is a Pretty Bird & says: Look at the pretty baby.

  • His shower perch does lean a bit, however it's due to the fact that he eats too much and is a bit spolied (ha ha). I don't think they make a bigger one. Don't you just love listening to them talk and sing. It melts my heart each time.

  • You gotta teach him how to sing Happy Hatch Day to himself and then say: Where's the presents?! I WANT CAKE!

  • @parrottrekfwiv for my green wings shower perch i use a curtain rod. the kind with a spring in it. it works wonderful but i dont think it would work while showering with him.

  • I love the part where he bangs his beak on the side of the shower, then goes "Hello?" Your bird is so cute!

  • My heart melts when I hear my cockatoo say I Love you! Your Macaw is darling. Thanks for sharing.

  • Very nice video.

  • Well Done! Thank you for sharing!

  • omg that bird is just brilliant the best talking mccasw i have seen, by the way WISH I WAS THAT MCCAW!!!!!!

  • Soooo adorable!

  • the bird is drunk -------- cute

  • lol

  • I love the knocking on the door and "helloO" my mini was hiding behind my neck as I watched it, then at happy birthday came peeking over!

  • Very cute vid!!! I love how vocal your GW is!!!

  • Adorable. My greenwing also sings and dances but your bird just makes me melt. Bravo

  • amazing bird! very intelligent...and very tame!

  • thats had me tearing up w/ laughter! absolutly adorable!I have a greenwing as well -they are such sweet clowns!

  • ah.. thats so so so cute!! <3 it said "i love you" that is sooo cute <3<3<3

  • Beautiful and intelligent bird! im thinking about getting a blue and gold, but would it be bad for the bird if it was alone at the house from 7 AM-5 PM on weekdays? we have a dog which might keep it company but im not counting on that...

  • The bird will be okay as long as she has plenty to keep her occupied such as toys. Make sure you spend a lot of time with them in the evenings. We have to work as well so ours are alone during the days. When we are home however they are pretty much always out & with us. We often leave music on for them or the TV. Just make sure the TV chanel won't cause them to pick up any bad words (ha ha) They'll always forgive you for leaving them as long as you make it up with lots of love

  • Thanks a bunch! This really eases my worries. I have actually decided on not getting a blue and gold, since they are so MASSIVE, and now my first choice is an African Grey Parrot. I'm guessing what you told me will apply to the African Grey as well?

  • We have an African Grey as well. He is the greatest bird! Very responsible and very smart. He has an enormous vocabulary. You're right they are the perfect size, but don't tell Cody that

:-) We adore them both, and yes the above still applies!

  • Yea from I've read they sound like great and entertaining birds to have around. How much did your Grey cost? Do you have any advice on how to find a Grey on the cheaper side? (even though none are probobly cheap!)

  • About $800, but we live in CA so they might be more here. A breeder is your best bet, that way you cut out the middle man of the pet store and you may get him/her for a little less

  • You should avoid breeders and not promote them. There are THOUSANDS of parrots in rescues that need homes.

  • You are so right! Rescues are a wonderful place to get a bird for those of us who are passionate about birds. Also keep in mind it does require a lot of work and the right person to take a bird from a rescue and give it a permanent loving home and not send it back to a rescue because the relationship failed. Buying a bird is like deciding to have a child. It takes the right person and a lot of love and patience to make the relationship work. Buying a bird should NEVER be a spontaneous decision.

  • I agree :) Love your bird though - I have a Goffin's cockatoo who is a complete nut.
