(and of course) the only thing i never bought new when i restored it was the throttle cable. it broke lol. so now i got a new one coming and is now fully restored. check out my channle. also got a sno pro suspension under it (still have to make vid of that)

your right. somone else on the same trail did 113 with his gps, his speedo said 111, so i can see how i would be 40mph off also. when my gps says 153mph on the sheer ice it is wrong too i am only doing 84mph? at that point the speedo was coming back around. where are your videos of that run or any other runs????

Thas fast alright but I tell ya, My SRX is Fast as well. 100mph on the trail through the twisties isn't the smartest thing to do no matter what time.
Across a farmers filed where you have a visible sight line farther then 100yards (which comes up pretty quick Im sure you will agree) is a better place to go those speeds.

we also have a zr 800 with some work. sometimes we beat the t cats and f100 with it. do not overlookr the zr 800 or the zr 900. myou can get these for around 2k and they are fast and lighter then the zrts. i was always a triple fan but i am starting to like the twins alot better

my zrt is a 1996 600. its fun as hell and loud too. i had mine to 115 also dont dare to go wide open for a long time on the lakes around here where i live(bumpy as a bitch) but it would go faster, it has many many mods done. im selling it now cause i cant afford fuel prices. mine gets like 7-8 miles to the gallon how i ride it, like i said though its modded
we have alot of bike atv trails here but the triple is such a workout on them. we take the twins on the tighter trailas they are much easier to throw around.

the 147mph was not me. but our sled we welded the jugs closed on the sides, reported the jugs piped canned degree key bearcat clutch geared tall v force carbon fiber reeds and cages light weight balance shaft rejetted carbs no airbox punched track 1993 cdi shaved heads.

according to the gps with the old motor, 1000cc, shaved heads, piped, mbrp can, flatslides, no airbox, jetted, uni filters, on ostego lake with no snow 154mph. i was told the radar read 134mph and lost me. at that point the needle was pointing straight down, odomemetor speed is how fast it goes.
you need to clutch it to get those kind of speeds, maybe you just forgot to mention that.... My srx stock will do 120.... and thats out of a 700 triple.
yeah. the power these things make is sick. they are soo much fun because you can ride from town to town for gas and food. just pull up to the gas pump and ride another 100 miles. the most i rode in one day on the sled was 258 miles

I had a 74 Pontiac Firebird with a speedo of 160Mph. I could only pull 140Mph out of her on a good day tho.

our zr 800 with mods gets out in front of the zrt till about 80mph and the triple reels it in by 120 you are a sled length ahead and pulling away.

i bought a helmet cam. it uses a sd card to store the video and is powered by 4 aaa batteries. it is smaller than 2 35mm film roll plastic holders.
