Perfect! Your axe sound incredible and your voice wonderful. You are channeling Ian here and it's awesome. Could you post a "how to play..." video where you baby step a hack like me through all of the chords and tricks???? Puhlease???
So very nice. You not only sing fantastically, you are also a solid guitar player. Tull acoustic bits are not easy to play. People often underestimate or don't give enough credit to Ian for his first instrument, the acoustic guitar. He has composed some of the most brilliantly unique and memorable acoustic segments in all of rock history.
you have the Tull songs down. Sometimes you can identify with an artist so much you pick up every nuance of the performance and that is what you have done. to just play an acoustic guitar and make it happen is not easy but you do it and do it very well..Ian would be proud I am sure.
Andre, great song and your talent is so evident but I wonder why it is you don't employ a second MIC so we can better enjoy your vocals. regardless, thanks for the performance!
Very nice cover indeed of one of my favorite early acoustic songs by the classic band-Jethro Tull. I didn't know Ian Anderson, Martin Barre and their old bandmates from the UK were that popular all over the world still. Thanks for the performance!-I'd like to see more of your videos sometime.
I'm working on this one just got to get the lyrics in my head..I know a girl I want to play this for..Trying to get her to go out with me LOL Wish me Luck!
It's really amazing and scary (in a good way) how much your voice sounds like Ian's in this song.... the whole thing is incredible--thanks!!! Love all of Tull but this song has always been my favorite...
Nice! I can't believe I haven't listened to this recording before !? I actually forgot about this song until today. Watch you view count jump by the hundreds in the next couple of weeks while I obsess.
This is excellent. I've been a Tull fan for many years. I played a lot of the flute parts in the past. Any chance of acquiring a sound track of the guitar part of this song? I am a singsnap member and would like to add the flute and vocals to your playing.
WOW! Excellent job! I have to tell you that I saw my first Jethro Tull concert in 1973 Albuquerque, NM (Passion Play) and this summer (their 40th Anniversary Tour),
I saw Ian and the boys in Imst, Austria (They haven't lost a beat!) Jethro Tull is the most under appreciated great rock band of all time..you do a wonderful job on this beautiful song!
Oh, Andrea! You do Ian such great justice. You are wonderful and keep alive such beautiful music. Don't stop. You would break so many hearts if you stopped. Your passion is alive and quite obvious in you.
What a great rendition of the original. Ian is a creative poetic classical song writer. I was expecting more of this kind of music as I grew up in the 60's and 70's, but other bands didn't follow. I believe we lost our way..
My friend...don't forget that Ian Anderson is Ian Anderson...I love his way to sing...For me it is not a relief...I only try to sing his songs as I can but I would like to sing as Ian sings! I'm happy about the success of my covers but don't remember that my work on YOUTUBE is a tribute to Ian music. I just want to tell to all the Tull fans how I love this music. Thank you for your comment.
I was always enchanted by this song. It was such a personal message full of love and commitment. I have fallen in love with it again hearing your lovely version.
I quote Marktull: perfect harmony between voice and guitar playing....although I appreciate this song, it actually was not among my favorites, until I heard you play and sing it so passionately... :)
There are some other beautiful video on YOUTUBE of this song covered very well (Dany Motta for example made a nice work!). I put a this video with chords on first position to make full the tune because there are not the other instruments. Hope you like it! Bye! :-)Andrea
