  • Perfect! Your axe sound incredible and your voice wonderful. You are channeling Ian here and it's awesome. Could you post a "how to play..." video where you baby step a hack like me through all of the chords and tricks???? Puhlease???

  • excellent mate, well done, pure talent. one of my favourite Tull songs.

  • Fantastic Andrea. The sound of this is beautiful; definitely inspiration to me again.

  • So very nice. You not only sing fantastically, you are also a solid guitar player. Tull acoustic bits are not easy to play. People often underestimate or don't give enough credit to Ian for his first instrument, the acoustic guitar. He has composed some of the most brilliantly unique and memorable acoustic segments in all of rock history.

  • @muzaklover78 Well said!! Andrea does fantastic Tull covers and Ian deserves more credit for his acoustic guitar work.

  • Wonderfully done.

  • ..bellissima anche questa! la passione - oltre alla tecnica - si sente tutta, ed è fondamentale ... ciao :o)

  • There is an integrity about this performance. Thank you. I enjoyed very much.

  • ....Outstanding...both the guitar work and the vocals.

  • bravo!

  • you have the Tull songs down. Sometimes you can identify with an artist so much you pick up every nuance of the performance and that is what you have done. to just play an acoustic guitar and make it happen is not easy but you do it and do it very well..Ian would be proud I am sure.

.."visit stoney ground we used to know.."

  • Very Nice !

Your voice sounds just like the original Anderson !

  • This is really really nice. Thanks!

  • Andre, great song and your talent is so evident but I wonder why it is you don't employ a second MIC so we can better enjoy your vocals. regardless, thanks for the performance!

  • you are very good at tull.

  • Nice Andrea, we could do a little Tull tribute, ha.

  • Very nice cover!

  • Beautiful Andrea, well done! Such a beautiful song.

  • very nice, man!... love this song and you did a very nice cover!

  • Bravo! Beautiful song

  • Very nice cover indeed of one of my favorite early acoustic songs by the classic band-Jethro Tull. I didn't know Ian Anderson, Martin Barre and their old bandmates from the UK were that popular all over the world still. Thanks for the performance!-I'd like to see more of your videos sometime.

  • Bravissimo!

  • Very well done!! Is this standard tuning with capo on 3rd fret?

  • I'm working on this one just got to get the lyrics in my head..I know a girl I want to play this for..Trying to get her to go out with me LOL Wish me Luck!

  • its a very good song to use

  • Bravissimo.Applausi.

  • You are the Best at covering Tull man!

  • that was the best cover ive seen. really good vocals and guitar skills. very good

  • dude......sick

  • this is a fantastic song. you play and sing it so well. i gotta pick up my guitar again. its been too long.

  • It's really amazing and scary (in a good way) how much your voice sounds like Ian's in this song.... the whole thing is incredible--thanks!!! Love all of Tull but this song has always been my favorite...

  • fantastic...goosebumps

  • EPIC...

  • U LOOK LIKE CAT STEVENS A LITTLE ..

  • WELL DONE

  • Excelente, sinceramente no esperaba una version tan fiel a la original. Reasons es mi cancion favorita del Stand Up.

  • I love this song also...You do a tremendous version. Thank you.

  • Much appreciated, brother! A superior cover of a terribly under-appreciated love song/poem. I don't think I have seen it done better, Andrea!

  • Wow, your voice sounds so like Ian Andersons x_X super nice cover!

  • wow, this is really really lovely. you are very talented. this is my favourite jethro tull song and you have done a fine job of it!!!!

  • wow man!!!!!.....you're SO GREAT!!!!!!....God bless you....you're feeling this tune with all your heart

  • Nice! I can't believe I haven't listened to this recording before !? I actually forgot about this song until today. Watch you view count jump by the hundreds in the next couple of weeks while I obsess.

  • wow, that was great! Thank-you!

  • This is excellent. I've been a Tull fan for many years. I played a lot of the flute parts in the past. Any chance of acquiring a sound track of the guitar part of this song? I am a singsnap member and would like to add the flute and vocals to your playing.

  • oh, how i love this song, and you sang it very well, and great guitar playing, too. thumbs up for you, you made my evening :)

  • I'm subscribing, you're Tull covers are second to none.

    Awesome job.

  • WOW! Excellent job! I have to tell you that I saw my first Jethro Tull concert in 1973 Albuquerque, NM (Passion Play) and this summer (their 40th Anniversary Tour),

I saw Ian and the boys in Imst, Austria (They haven't lost a beat!) Jethro Tull is the most under appreciated great rock band of all time..you do a wonderful job on this beautiful song!

  • Quite probably my all time favorite love song, and you perform it very very well...a pleasure to listen to. Keep up the good work!

  • very very beautiful.

you have understood the waves of chords, the harmonics, resonance and swelling and sliiding vocals .

    My heart swells.

    thankyou andrea.

  • Oh, Andrea! You do Ian such great justice. You are wonderful and keep alive such beautiful music. Don't stop. You would break so many hearts if you stopped. Your passion is alive and quite obvious in you.

  • What a great rendition of the original. Ian is a creative poetic classical song writer. I was expecting more of this kind of music as I grew up in the 60's and 70's, but other bands didn't follow. I believe we lost our way..

  • Young man...a most excellent interpretation of an all-time great song. Ian doesn't get enough credit in my opinion. One of the best front men ever.

    Thank you...

  • I haven't heard this in so long; one of my old favorites; your version captures the mesmorizing quality of it!

  • Well done. I like your singing very much. You have also taught me something about how to play this song. Cheers!

  • thanks for this excellent cover ,,,,,,,,,

I was thinking about how Ian Anderson looks like like a demented Muppet most of the time when he sings

What a relief ............ you didn't included his mannerisms !!

  • My friend...don't forget that Ian Anderson is Ian Anderson...I love his way to sing...For me it is not a relief...I only try to sing his songs as I can but I would like to sing as Ian sings! I'm happy about the success of my covers but don't remember that my work on YOUTUBE is a tribute to Ian music. I just want to tell to all the Tull fans how I love this music. Thank you for your comment.

  • @andreavercesi Beautiful rendition of great song!...Question...What 2 chords are you playing on "hand holding tight" part?

  • My comment was a bit indulgent,, Of course

.....Hail to Ian Anderson... I really appreciate his music, sincerely and his

    mannerisms, as well .............

  • You need to understand the genius of Anderson, then you would see the passion in his play...

  • yes of course i do, really, and regret my previous comment...............

  • Wow! You nailed this song ... nice job!

  • excellent job. you really got it right on. I'm actually using your video to try and learn it

  • Great Job

  • I was always enchanted by this song. It was such a personal message full of love and commitment. I have fallen in love with it again hearing your lovely version.

  • Perfect. Just perfect.

    Grazie, Andrea.

  • " And don't pretend perfection: you'll be crucified too late." :-)

It's not perfect, dear friend...it's only passion...

Thanks a lot for all your comments, my friends.

  • In other words:

"And I thank you all for that!" :P

    Honestly... damn beautiful playing/singing!

  • @andreavercesi

Answering about Jethro Tull by quoting a Jethro Tull song: great!

    As your covers!!!

  • I quote Marktull: perfect harmony between voice and guitar playing....although I appreciate this song, it actually was not among my favorites, until I heard you play and sing it so passionately... :)

  • Sounds great! Your voice floats atop the melody in perfect harmony. Nicely done.

  • There are some other beautiful video on YOUTUBE of this song covered very well (Dany Motta for example made a nice work!). I put a this video with chords on first position to make full the tune because there are not the other instruments. Hope you like it! Bye! :-)Andrea

  • Thanx a lot Andrea!!! Very nice your covers too! Very enjoyable all of them! Keep on rocking!
