Wow, Letterman was cold-blooded to those kids (his comments/eye rolls about the chemistry course and the tuxedo t-shirt). I can't help but imagine how much better those jokes would gone over with those kids if Conan had done them. Conan has the ability to do a joke in a nice way and still make it funny whereas Letterman just comes off as malicious, like he's trying to turn his audience against his guests. I used to be a Letterman fan, too.
