@Rodyodo. My post stated "Churches" don't pay taxes. Never said individuals. The point is that these celebrity pastors with all their outrages claims, use tax free church collections for everything from lavish vacations to personal cars to kleenex to blow their nose. All claimed as church expenses. Most of these guys ( Joyner, Bentley, Jones ) followers don't even know what the 1st amendment is.

@TheOpenyoureyes12 . So the first amendment doesn't apply to pastors. You Pastor shouldn't be telling you who to vote for, but that doesn't mean he cannot discuss politics at all. Also Pastors do pay taxes on their personal income, which includes their salary from their Church. It is the Church that is tax exempt.

Obama was interviewed by Catherine Falsani in 2008. (Chicago Sun Times). Obama went into detail regarding his actual religious beliefs. From what I gathered, Obama is more of a religious pluralist. I derived this from his own comment that, while he considers himself a Christian, he believes that "there are many paths to the same place".

This, of course, leaves plenty of room to replace scriptural absolutes with more politically palatable religious beliefs and philosophies.
