There are a few talented singers at Malaco, but that label lacks forward innovative thinking. Floyd resembles his dad and his vocal tone is very, very similar. Judging him on his own merit - he is good. However, he just doesn't have the stuff that his dad was made of. His dad was a legend and perhaps it is unfair to do a comparion. Yet there was so much feeling and truth in Johnnie's music. Maybe it will come in time for Floyd. In the meantime, I wish Floyd well.
