Floyd hooked up and made a Booty Call Baby, now there's drama about the consequences of a fly by night hook up. But if that Booty Call didn't happen there wouldn't be no child here complaining...
These are funny comments. What I like about this song is that it really is in the pocket, -old school soul. Even across the border, here in Arkansas I think we know a good thang when she walks by!
I am the blues, lol. Its in my bloodline. No other music is better than the blues. And my honies wonder why the older ladies always hitting on me.Singing those blues all day, lol.I listen to every artist, but the Floyds got that special touch. My homestate of MS is the home of the blues and I have that southern sweet charm women love. This young group from Tupelo,MS is blowing up.They are called'The Homemade Blues Band'.Please check them out on Youtube, cause u will be surprised of them.

Floyd Taylor, can't help but love his music. Heard this in downtown Monroe MI. No room on the dance floor. It is now my wife's favorite song. Thanks Mr... Floyd Taylor. Your father would certainly be proud.
I thought I remember a video of Floyd saying he had his own style away from his father, each song I hear he sounds like he is picking up from whereJT left off. I figured it would be hard for Floyd because he sound too much like him to try to divert elsewhere, he even sound like JT when he speaks..dang..I don't believe in reincarnation but I do believe in imitatation...lol but I like it Floyd...
To Floyd Taylor's son, Dude I hope you can find time to forgive in your heart. I dont know if you are looking for cash, career assistance or whatever. You logic and realize that you only heard your Mom's side of the story. I dont think Floyd is caked up (unless your grandad left him money) I mean listen too him he is a average singer trying to capitalize on what Johnnie did.
I have an ex girlfriend that had a daughter by me 28 years ago, I just met the young lady.
@aboutmuny I'm not looking for any "assistance" from Floyd. And I didn't just hear my "Moms" side. I'm not looking for Floyd to help me in ANY way. Which is a common misperception that a lot of people tend to have because he is supposed to be "Famous" All I wanted was for Floyd to hear exactly what I thought about him and the situation in a way he couldn't ignore. I think I've accomplished that, and I'm done with the matter.
Floyd Taylor is a sorry ass deadbeat dad motherfucker. The nigga has NEVER been shit! I should know, I'M HIS OLDEST SON, AND I'M BOUT TO EXPOSE THIS FRAUD FOR THE PERSON HE TRULY IS.
@SpannTV SOME TIMES IN LIFE MY BROTHER YOU HAVE TO JUST LET IT GO. MAN BE PROUD OF YOUR FATHER, SERIOUS MY BROTHER. FROM A MAN THAT HIS FATHER LEFT HIM WHEN HE WAS JUST 20 DAYS ON EARTH. ENJOY YOUR FATHER MUSIC AND LOVE HIM FOR WHO HE HAS BECOME. FLOYD LOVE YOUR MUSIC
@519spanky Love what he has become??? Fuck that clown. I know who he is. Not what is portrayed to you. If you like his music, more power to you. But I wouldn't piss on this cat if he was on fire. And that's about as real as it gets.
@SpannTV So you think that the anger that you harbor for your own father, makes you a better father? Do you think that your own daughter will see the hate you have for your father, and don't you think that may affect her psychologically?
@timdelvecchio My daughter doesn't know him. Doesn't know he exist, never asks about him. I don't talk about him with my daughter. He never comes up. So that's not an issue that I'm concerned with. And contrary to popular belief, I don't spend a lot of time thinking about this dude. The only time I even acknowledge it is when I get a response to my videos or comments that I made months ago.
I'm honestly not trying to pass judgment on you at all, just so you know. I hope you forgive your father someday. I think its a real shame that he's a deadbeat, and I hope he can apologize or something man. Just remember to have a forgiving heart
great video and i could not believe my ears when i herd this voice,we have since googled you up and to our surprise you are going to be in houston june 5th and we had to get some tickets,,so see ya soon and keep making that good music that we all love,,i know that your dad is looking at you wiyh a big smile like we all are,,,,,,,
Thank you Johnny for leaving your legacy behind. Floyd my family and I enjoyed finding out about you. We almost fell out we thought Johnny had come back to us. We love your sound. You are just as handsome and talented as your father. Great to know you are here doing it for us.
Much love to you from Pam and Charlotte in Tulsa Oklahoma
Someone sent this to me and I just love it! The video brought back the romance, which is missing in this day and age.He will be a legend in his own right. Keep on singing those love songs!! Much love and blessings to you.
Hey ,I just saw you in Reno, You were really good! If I didn't know better I would have thought I saw Johnny. Keep up the good work and I hope I see you again real soon.
Tight jam. This song was written and composed by the late Rich Cason, who also wrote and composed "Good Love" for the great Johnnie Taylor. There are a few talented singers at Malaco, but that label lacks forward innovative thinking. They are in need of some talented song writers and composers like Rich, in order to put people like this on the map. There really is no reason that Malaco could not be like Stax was back in the day.
It's one of the best kept secrets in the business.I plan to just support them by purchasing music from them and introducing young folks to the sounds of soul music. Bumpty-bump is fine, but everybody falls in love and everybody gets a broken-heart.
I know a lot of record companies have their stuff removed from YouTube because of copyright violations, but they don't realise the power of this free promotion. I went bought this CD after seeing this video. Thanks for posting it. You helped Floyd to sell a "legit" cd. Not a bootleg. I went about 30 mintues to a record to find this. THIS IS JAMMIN!!!! Thanks for posting it.
Floyd resembles his dad and his vocal tone is very, very similar. Judging him on his own merit - he is good. However, he just doesn't have the stuff that his dad was made of. His dad was a legend and perhaps it is unfair to do a comparion. Yet there was so much feeling and truth in Johnnie's music. Maybe it will come in time for Floyd. In the meantime, I wish Floyd well.
J.T. had strong gospel roots with The Soul Stirrers, and Sam Cooke, and SAR...It gave him a certain feel and sound that is not easy to duplicate, not saying that Floyd would want to...I agree...He has a nice sound and I also wish him well....is that the Taylor Made Band playing for him....Cooke
It's good to see this video on the tube. It was a pleasure working with Floyd. Who I'm I? :-) K. Lipsey... I wrote "We're Goin' Steppin'" for Floyd, it's in the intro of this video. Keep supporting good music!
we have the next best thing to J.T. with his son. this is great music. i wonder why the r&B stations here in the DFW metroplex don't play his music along with J.T. now its all about who's F*C*in' who but no one is making love anymore no one is singing to women and making them feel like the prize that they really are. i love older women and "You still got it" fits my situation. keep doin' what you do floyd. i love you and J.T. alwayz
a chip of the block. a branch don't fall too far from the tree. This boy got it. I am old school so no offense intended when i say this boy got it. You see, i grew up with his daddy's music. Coming home from Vietnam in 1968 to hear his old man say "Who making love to your old lady" Well you get what i'm trying to say. It's time to move on. Get on boy with your bad self.
what an awesomeson, video. although i grew up during his dads days, this video and song takes the cake. my husband ordered this CD and plays it whenever he wants to make me feel special...which is all the time. the video is a perfect reflection for the song.

If you liked Johnnie Taylor, you can't help but love his son Floyd, who will grow into his own legacy.
I had the opportunityn to do some local promotions with him and at times he brings tears to people's eyes as he resembles his father so.
Once he gets more national exposure, he will soon enjoy the popularity that his father had and in fact appeal to two generations of fans.
Tell Floyd that Mark Allen is loking forward to continuing to promote him and host him in Chicago at 773-392-0165
