I also liked the simpler sound mix on the whiplash bolts as I found them more eerie and frightening without the additional bass notes added in the 5.1 DVD sound mix.

The blaster beam sound was so much more forceful in the original sound mix than in the 2001 DVD, as here when the V'Ger cloud first appears after the credits.
