Awesome video, the smoke coming out of the barrel at the end of the video is from the bore evacuator.... It keeps any smoke or poisonous fumes from entering the tank itself and is pulled out of the barrel and chamber by the vacuum created by the projectile leaving the gun tube. The Abrams has the same system. The reason you don't see a lot of recoil is because it is soaked up by the recoil mechanism in the gun mount and the suspension of the vehicle itself.

@lekkimsm2500 Actually, impressive as it is, that explosion cloud is made of (relatively) low pressure gasses that are expanding into the air. A lot of what you're seeing is residue of the propellants doing a secondary burn in the oxygen of the air. The same thing happens with a candle flame. The primary burning is pretty much invisible and it's not until the hot carbon particles get up into the air that they start to glow.

Интересный факт - университет на Rhode Island купил за 457 килобаксов камеру, которая снимает со скоростью 200 МИЛЛИОНОВ fps. Если это не опечатка, и это её реальная скорость, то за каждый отснятый ею кадр свет успевает пройти не больше 1.5 метров, "сырой" видеопоток имеет битрейт порядка 14 ТЕРАбайт/сек, а сжатие в H264 всего одной секунды такого видео заняло бы на моем Core Quad порядка 2 месяцев. А вы офигеваете с того, что танк подпрыгивает :)
